ZION SHALL BE REDEEMED

Greetings to all and welcome back to this informative and empowering Bible Study of the Book of Isaiah. A reflection of our time. As we look into their time, we find lessons that will help us avoid our enemies’ deceptions. The key is always to be focused only on the Word of God and run everything through the filter of the Word of God. Not what someone told us it said but what we saw it said with our own eyes by at least two witnesses. Please take a moment to share these teachings daily as widely as possible to let others in on the very best news they will ever hear. The beautiful picture I have featured today was provided by our good friend and man of God, Joe Getchell Jr. As I was fellowshipping with the Lord this morning, He quickened me to talk about Psalm one as a preface or preamble to our study of Isaiah. I will deal with one verse per day for four days. We have briefly covered verses one and two, so, today is verse three.
Psalm 1:3 (KJV)
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
The “rivers of water” is the Word of God constantly nourishing us. The Word of God gives us supernatural strength that comes by no other means. No other means! Can we look at our individual lives and say we are that tree. Have we been delighting in the Word of God, in our fellowship with our Heavenly Father in Christ Jesus through the Holy Spirit? We see from this verse that fruit bearing is seasonal just as in natural fruit trees. We do not wither for we are constantly drinking the Water of Heaven. Does all that we put our hand to prosper? If not, why not? We didn’t get our leadership and counsel from God, the Word of God. Go back and read verse one. Let us confess these verses over ourselves with thanksgiving daily delighting in the Lord being this healthy (supernatural) tree. Meditate the follow passage before moving to the Isaiah text.
Jeremiah 17:5-8 (KJV)
5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.
6 For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.
7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.
8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
I am not the man of verse five and six but the man planted of the Lord in verses seven and eight. Now, let’s turn to Isaiah and continue to read aloud.
Isaiah 1:25-28 (KJV)
25 And I will turn my hand upon thee, and purely purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin:
26 And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city.
27 Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.
28 And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed.
In verse twenty-seven Zion is referring to Jerusalem but for us is referring to the Church. Let’s take a look at this verse and the one following from the New Living Translation to add clarity.
Isaiah 1:27-28 (NLT)
27 Zion will be restored by justice; those who repent will be revived by righteousness.
28 But rebels and sinners will be completely destroyed, and those who desert the LORD will be consumed.
Those who choose to be restored in the Church will do so through the sieve of justice. This means that those who do not repent to be restored will have justice rendered upon them. Verse twenty-eight gives us further insight as to what that means. I don’t know that this means they are headed for Hell but it does mean their life will be full of stealing, killing, and destroying.
More on this tomorrow, the Lord willing.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
