MORE ABOUT JEBUSITES
A new day is arising dear children of the only living God. Greeting to all and welcome to The Three Minute Word blog. Please take a moment to share these teachings as widely as possible to extend the reach of this Ministry, the reach of the Truth. As many if not all of you know Donna and I are at the cusp (really already there) of a new season. As I sit down to write this (4th of May) plans are advancing rapidly for our move to San Antonio, Texas. San Antonio is where I was born again, filled with the Holy Spirit, did much ministry, and lived from 1984 until 2017, 33 years. The desire that God gave us to move has been building and we now have the testimony of the inner witness, this is the time to move, God’s timing. It is a new day for us, a new season, a new and exciting chapter in the will of God and we are excited.
Today I will continue teaching out of the first verse from the Book of Isaiah (not doing too well with the chapter a week thing am I). Do we really understand how wonderful and merciful our God is to give us extraordinary insights into the path’s others have walked before us and our own path today? Are we being attentive or are we thinking we are a special case? Unfortunately, many of us lean too much on our own understanding and not on His, the creator of all things. Think about it, at any given time He knows everything about everything. One would think that His advice would trump all other advice by a country mile. Forgive us Father. Now, let’s delve into todays Bible Study, let’s read our primary text aloud, yes, out loud. How does faith come?
Isaiah 1:1-3 (KJV)
1 The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
2 Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.
3 The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master’s crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.
Before we move on, I want to spend a little more time speaking about the Jebusites. God had given the Jebusites into the hand of Israel yet they were not utterly destroyed as per the Word of the Lord even in the time of King David. Do we have Jebusites that we have allowed to stay in our lives? These are demonic strongholds we have not destroyed in our lives. Once God has given us something the obtaining or realization of the thing in this natural realm is in our hand.
Deuteronomy 20:16-18 (KJV)
16 But of the cities of these people, which the LORD thy God doth give thee for an inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth:
17 But thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee:
18 That they teach you not to do after all their abominations, which they have done unto their gods; so should ye sin against the LORD your God.
It may be that neither Judah or Benjamin could drive the Jebusites from Jerusalem for those before them including King David were disobedient to God. God had given them into the hand of His people. However, no promise of God is without conditions and the main condition is always obedience. However, it is not so simple as obedience by itself. There must be a willing heart. In addition, everything is done in faith, powered by love, led of the Holy Spirit. For example, even now the table is fully set for the children of God, God has done all He is going to do, yet we have taken very little off the table. We hang back squalling to Him and He reminds us over and over, it is all yours come and take it. The Jebusites like the other “ites” are representative of a type of evil spirit. A Jebusite spirit is one who seeks to keep us in a trodden down condition. A trodden down condition is not the will of God for His children at any time! Jesus came and destroyed the works of the devil. He put the curse under our feet, gave us all authority once again, and restored the fullness of the Blessing. In Hell and in the Resurrection, Jesus made an open show of the impotence of the devils. He has risen and has the keys of Hell and death! Throw off the Jebusite spirits, they are defeated, they are lying to you and me, and walk forward crushing them underfoot in victory.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
