AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

A VISION FOR TODAY
It is Memorial Day, please pause for a moment to honor those who have gone before us especially those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom. Greetings precious people of God and precious people of the world. Welcome back to this empowering study of the Book of Isaiah. As we prepare to move forward in our study and in our walk with God, please take a moment to share these teachings as widely as possible. The featured picture today was provided by a wonderful brother in the Lord, Joe Getchell Jr. God is abundantly good to us all, so, let us be abundantly good to those around us. I encourage each of us to read these studies out loud. No where in Scripture does it say that faith comes but seeing. Faith comes one way and that is by hearing (Romans 10:17). We also know that it is impossible to please God without faith (Hebrews 11:6). Nothing is accomplished for the Kingdom of God with eternal value without faith.
The word meditate appears fourteen times in the KJV of the Bible, fourteen is the number of deliverance and salvation. Consider and meditate the follow three examples.
Joshua 1:8 (KJV)
8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Psalm 1:1-3 (KJV)
1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
1 Timothy 4:15-16 (KJV)
15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.
16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
Should any of this be of interest to us? Certainly, it is of great interest not just to know as information but to do as revelation. The word meditate means to murmur (speaking under the breath), to ponder, imagine, mutter, roar, speak, study, talk, and utter according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. Now, let’s move forward into the Book of Isaiah, continuing to read loud, yes, out loud.
Isaiah 1:1-3 (KJV)
1 The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
2 Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.
3 The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master’s crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.
As we reflect on these first three verses of Isaiah, could these have been written today about the Church today? The world is in constant rebellion against God, that is what they do, they are the children of the god of this world, Satan. Starting in verse two, who is speaking? God, “the LORD” is speaking through the Prophet Isaiah to his generation and ours. God is talking to His children and says they are rebellious children. Are we a rebellious generation going our own way, leaning to our own understanding, thinking we are enlightened but on the path of destruction?
Proverbs 3:5-7 (KJV)
5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
God is talking to His children here, not the world. Anytime our understanding conflicts with our understanding of the will, the Word of God, we need to just take Him at His Word and believe Him. A little child may not understand why they can’t play in the road but not to trust the parent and stay out of the road. Do we believe God has the best path planned or would we be better off deciding on our path? He knows everything and we know next to nothing in comparison. We need to quit thinking we are so wise, wise beyond God, which is pride. Lucifer gave that a try and didn’t work well for him and won’t work well for us either. Let us examine our lives for evil and depart from it immediately. Evil is anything contrary to the Word of God.
Proverbs 14:12 (KJV)
12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
I want life in my earthly walk not death! I don’t want the way that seems right to me but is right (righteous) in the eyes of my Heavenly Father. Lord willing, I will pick up here tomorrow.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
