AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

PROVOKED THE HOLY ONE
Greeting precious redeemed children of God and greetings to those who are still running from God. Welcome back to this powerful, revelatory, and empowering study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. Isaiah, God, spoke to that generation and to ours. God is so good to give us His Word to direct our path in the way of righteousness. God created this whole thing. Believe it or not, He actually knows what works perfectly and what is fatally flawed. The featured picture today is provided by our good friend Joe Getchell Jr. a man after God’s own heart. Doesn’t he have just a wonderful eye for photography? As we move forward, please take a moment to share these teachings as widely as possible. Every person reading this has the opportunity to tell and spread this good news. God sees.
All persons are conceived and die physically. Many if not all of us at times act like and think like the status quo is forever. It is not! At birth every person whether they know it or not have an obligation before God to do all of His will. Discharging that obligation will yield the most amazing life imaginable. Few pick Gods’ path early on and way too many never chose God’s path. We have taught our children they can do anything they want or perhaps they believe there is a better way. Just think how foolish it is to think we have a better way than the one who Created all things, preplanned a spectacular life for each of us (Heaven upon the earth), the one who loves (agape) us, and paid an incalculable price for us. How absurd! Unfortunately, we see this thinking in the Church as well. People chose to be saved because they don’t want to go to Hell, and then do their own thing from there on. This should not be! Each of us were purchased by Christ Jesus at Calvary, we are not our own, we have obligations before God. Those obligations are so far outweighed by benefits, there is no comparison. It would be like comparing a one-dollar bill (our obligation) to a trillion one-dollar bills (our benefits). Why do we fight against the Lord? I’m not talking about the heathen; I’m talking about you and me brother and sister.
When our physical eyes close in death only one thing matters and that is, did we choose Jesus as our Lord and Savior. If we did choose Him, what did we do with the wonderful opportunity He gave unto us in the earth. Did we pay one lick of attention to the Eden Mandates (seven eternal commands) or did we just wing it? Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text and read it aloud, yes, out loud. Faith comes by hearing not by seeing.
Isaiah 1:4-7 (KJV)
4 Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.
5 Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.
6 From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.
7 Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.
Have we provoked the Holy One of the Church to anger? When one thinks about just our own individual lives, say nothing about that multiplied by the billions around the globe, can we even start to fathom the mercy and patience of the Lord? Have we perpetuated the corruption in our nation, state, community, and house? Are we as children of God guilty of being corruptors? Certainly, we have either by perpetuating the lies of the devil or by taking a passive posture. Even a passive posture may occur by the deception of the devil telling us there is nothing we can do anyway. That of course is far from the Truth, we are the only ones who can and who want to do anything about the corruption in our world. Our enemies work night and day to convince us to think, speak, and do contrary to the Word of God. When we have the right confession, he will then strive to get us to have a forward mouth by speaking of our circumstances instead of the Truth. For example, it may be a fact that our leg hurts but it is the Truth that we were healed by Jesus’ strips. No one is to lie or deny about what is physically occurring. We might say for example; “the doctor says thus and so but the Truth is that by Jesus’ stripes I was healed”. Saying anything but the Word of God provokes the Holy One to anger. The ten spies who came back with an evil report and caused the whole congregation to turn back angered the Lord. As a result they wandered and died in the wilderness. I don’t know about you, but I for one have had all the wilderness I want for one lifetime.

20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
