AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

RELIEVE THE OPPRESSED
Greetings precious children of the Father and welcome back to The Three Minute Word blog currently exploring the Bible Book of Isaiah. What a wonderful, instructive Book for us all. A mirror for our time that we may examine ourselves. Remember, whatever is going on in the earth is not primarily the fault of the heathens but we the Church. The featured picture today was graciously provided by our good friend and man of God, Joe Getchell Jr. This picture is presented just in case you have forgotten what winter looks like in Maine and it is coming again way too soon. Please take a moment to share these teachings as widely as possible to expand our reach of the Truth. Our God is so good! We are not in a guessing game with the Lord as to what is His will and what is not His will. We don’t always like His will at first brush especially when it goes against our traditions, the doctrines of devils we have accepted, or our flesh (carnal nature). The smartest thing is for us to do is quickly align ourselves with the Word, the Truth of God casting aside all else, for all else is wickedness.
Dear ones we, all of us, must develop an absolute aversion (loathing, abhorrence, repugnance) for what is not of God. We are much too comfortable with mixing the knowledge of good and evil. We shout the Word of God Sunday morning and then repeat the lies of the devil, our flesh, in the afternoon. Then we wonder where the victory is in our lives. We are family and as such partakers in the fulness of the Kingdom of God. Jesus didn’t purchase just a little dab will do yeah for here and the mother lode comes later, we have access to it all now.
Luke 12:32 (KJV)
32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
This is not future tense dear ones, in fact this statement is independent of time, it is in the eternal, it was, it is, and will always be the Father’s good pleasure for us to have the Kingdom.
Let’s make up our mind right now to walk in the fulness of the Kingdom of God. By faith, in love, led of the Holy Spirit we can have the will of God here and now just as it is in Heaven. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text and continue reading aloud, yes, out loud. Faith comes by hearing not seeing.
Isaiah 1:15-18 (KJV)
15 And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.
16 Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;
17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.
18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
Yesterday when I left off, we were thinking about and talking about our Lord’s admonition for us to “learn to do well”. He does not leave us hanging, the following text explains doing well at least in part. Our Lord tells us to seek after justice, all of our behavior must be just, never taking advantage of a weaker person. A weaker person could be a brother or sister in Christ or it could be a heathen person with whom we are dealing. We, the Spirit filled children of God, are owners of the earth, have sovereign rule in the earth, and have inexhaustible Power to back us up. All heathen are far weaker than any Spirit filled saint of God. Our God is a God of justice and so must we the children be just and seek after justice.
Psalm 89:14 (AMP)
14 Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; mercy and loving-kindness and truth go before Your face.
The Lord goes on to say we are to “relieve the oppressed”. In addition, we are to defend the fatherless and the widow. This is common language, instruction (commands), in Isaiah and the whole of Scripture. This is important to the Lord. Remember.
Isaiah 61:1-2 (KJV)
1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
Jesus told us in the 4th chapter of Luke and elsewhere this applied to Him and so thus it applies to each one who is a son of God. In case you are confused, if you are saved and filled with the Holy Spirit that is you (and me). Let us be about the Father’s business which is also our business.

20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
