REDEEMED, TRANSGRESSORS, SINNERS, AND FORSAKERS

Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to this powerful teaching of the Bible Book of Isaiah. As we move forward, please take a moment to share this and all of these teachings as widely as possible to spread the very best news that has ever been heard, is being heard, or will ever be heard. The featured picture today was provided by our good friend and man of God, Joe Getchell Jr. Joe has a good eye for what makes an interesting picture and not just another picture. This is the Library in Pittsfield Maine, a grand old structure.
Before we jump into our study of the Book of Isaiah, I want to again briefly touch on a couple of verses that have played a large and wonderful role in my life. These verses were not just to be seen, received, believed, doubting not, and declared, but then walked out in faith. None of these steps can be left out and none are to added. It is one thing to passively read a verse or passage either silently or out loud but it is quite another to receive it, believe it (not doubting), declare it, and then step out in faith on that Word. The exercise of faith generally puts us in a place to be embarrassed or look foolish according to our adversary. Is this pride and doubt? Let’s continue reading together.
Psalm 46:10 (KJV)
10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
Is this true in our day to day lives or just something we say around our Christian friends and in Church? Dear ones we always have a part in every situation, a part that only we can do and there is always a part that only God can do. The exercise of our authority is our part, the flow of Power is His part. When a challenge comes from the devil or this cursed earth, we have a part and then, and only then, He will confirm His Word with signs following. Our part is to determine the will of God, receive it, believe it without doubting, declare (out loud) it in faith (motivated by love), being led of the Holy Spirit. Once we have done this, unless we are directed by Scripture or the Holy Spirit, we are to be still and give Him a place to work. From this juncture on we only give Him thanks for the performance of His Word even when we have no evidence in the natural (Romans 4:17). Asking, begging, even declaring over and over is doubt, which is sin, which is wavering, and we will not receive. Now, let’s read what the Lord has given me as a companion Scripture aloud.
Psalm 83:1 (KJV)
1 Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.
This is the equivalent of us saying to the Lord that we have done our part and now we have full faith and confidence He is doing His part. We will be silent and still but we provoke Him not to be silent and still. We provoke Him with our Words, and our faith doubting not. Now, let’s turn our attention to our Isaiah text.
Isaiah 1:27-28 (KJV)
27 Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.
28 And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed.
Yesterday I had cautioned us not to assume that we are automatically in verse twenty-seven because we said the “sinners’ prayer”. As we will discuss shortly, we can be in both verses and many in the Church are exactly in that position. In our text, Zion is the Church, the conspicuous, triumphant Church. Does that describe you, me, or our Churches? Let’s take a closer look at verse twenty-seven in the English Standard Version.
Isaiah 1:27 (ESV)
27 Zion shall be redeemed by justice, and those in her who repent, by righteousness.
It looks like there are those in the Church who need to repent.
1 John 1:9 (KJV)
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Back to Isaiah 1:27 note the little phrase “those in her who repent”. This is people who are saved and already in the Church but walking in unrighteousness (sin) either by volition or ignorance. For us under the New Covenant (same general process under the Old) with the exercise of repentance the Blood of Jesus cleanses us of our sin, for we are in Him and He has already paid for our sins, the sins of the world. God looks at the heart and with a repentance of the heart it would be unjust and unfaithful for Him to forgive one and not another. What a gift dear saints of God!
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as your Bible Teacher and a Prophetic Voice in your life I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
