ZION, TRANSGRESSORS, SINNERS, FORSAKERS

Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to this powerful teaching of the Bible Book of Isaiah. As we move forward, please take a moment to share this and all of these teachings as widely as possible to spread the very best news that has ever been heard, is being heard, or will ever be heard. The featured picture today was taken by Donna a few days ago in our daughters’ neighborhood. This is the time of year when the fawns are being born and they are so cute to watch. As wonderful and beautiful as this is in this fallen cursed world just imagine what it looked like on day seven of creation, what it will look like in the Millennial reign of Christ, or even in the new heaven and new earth. Let your imagines loose!
Before we jump into our study of the Book of Isaiah, I want to briefly touch on a couple of verses that have played a very large role in my life. These verses were not just to be seen, received, believed, and declared, but walked out in faith not doubting. None of these steps can be left out and none are to added. It is one thing to passively read a verse or passage either silently or out loud but it is quite another to receive it, believe it (not doubting), declare it, and then step out in faith on that Word. Let’s continue reading together.
Psalm 46:10 (KJV)
10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
Some of us may remember the start of this Psalm more then the verse presented above.
Psalm 46:1-3 (KJV)
1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
Is this true in our day to day lives or just something we say around our Christian friends and in Church? Dear ones we always have a part in every situation, a part that only we can do and there is always a part that only God can do. Resisting fear can be an all-day job. I suspect we have all been there but we must stand with full confidence in our God, in His Word.
Psalm 83:1 (KJV)
1 Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.
In every adverse situation, large or small, we must react according to Scripture and not with loose perverse lips. When we have done our part led of the Holy Spirit and/or Scripture we must then tell (not beg), remind, the Lord our God to not be silent but perform His Word. We have a tendency to want to help God out, getting in His way in one way or another. Let’s quit that, get out of His way, let Him work, as we exercise our patience and faith. Remember, and never forget that God only goes to work on our behalf when we place a demand on Him, on His Word. By faith and patience, we will inherit the promises (Hebrews 6:12). Now let’s turn our attention to our Isaiah text continuing to read aloud.
Isaiah 1:27-28 (KJV)
27 Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.
28 And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed.
As we look at our text, we find four groups of people. Those of Zion, the righteous (redeemed in justice), transgressors, sinners, and those who forsake the Lord. As we look at the full text, I hope none of us have trouble determining which group we are in, or want to be in. Perhaps we should not be too quick to assume that we are in verse twenty-seven and other people are in verse twenty-eight. I will spend more time with both verses tomorrow. As we do this examination each of us must be honest before God, asking Him to show us who and where we are. We determined that Zion represents the Church. The word Zion is a mountain of Jeruselem according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. The root word in the Greek is the same as the Hebrew root word meaning a hill of Jerusalem; figurative the Church (militant or triumphant) according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as your Bible Teacher and a Prophetic Voice in your life I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
