EVEN MORE WOE

Greetings dear saints of God and those who will very soon choose the way of righteousness (doing things God’s way). Welcome back one and all as we prepare to delve back into our Bible Study of the wonderful Book of Isaiah. God is so good dear ones. Please take a moment to share these teachings as widely as possible to expand the reach of this good news far beyond our reach. The beautiful but desolate landscape today is graciously provided by our granddaughter in law, Heather. Thank you, Heather, God Himself will repay. As I was fellowshipping with the Lord this morning (13th of Sept) the Lord reminded me of the following Truths. We are never to judge another man’s (in this case God’s) servant.
Romans 14:4 (KJV)
4 Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
You know it is an all-day job just judging ourselves! As we listen to anyone talk, we must be discerning and judging the things spoken, expressed, or done according to the Word of God. We are not judging the person (forbidden of God) but the matters at hand (enjoined of God). As you read this you are to be filtering this, discerning, if this is Bible, being rightly divided or in some way distorted, corrupted, perverted for wrong motives, or wrongly understood. Always being thinking about if there is a second witness for what is being presented. For time and space’s sake I may or may not present the second witness or I may not have been prompted by the Holy Spirit at the time to do that. Let the Holy Spirit alert you to any hidden agenda or wrong motives (the Holy Spirit). Any corruption should be discarded but keep the good and True.
If we don’t understand something, but have no check from the Holy Spirit that something is not right, put it on the shelf and ask for insight. Sometimes we don’t understand something because we don’t have an adequate foundation for that particular Truth at the moment. The Lord will teach us and help us build that foundation. Oh, what a good God we serve. It is all about serving Him and our fellow man from a pure heart free of guile. There is a saying, don’t throw out the baby and the bathwater. Let us not throw out the man or woman of God based on wrong or poorly understood things of God. We must rapidly discard anything contrary to Scripture (two or more witnesses and the full counsel of Scripture). We don’t discard it based on our denominational statement, momma’s teaching, or even our Pastor’s teaching. Love God, love everyone, even those in error. Judge matters not people. By that I mean and the Scripture teaches we are to judge all things (not people), when we judge people, we are declaring a consequence, but we don’t know their heart, nor the light they walk in. We are presumptuously stepping into the role only God is qualified to do, making ourselves God. Forgive us oh Lord. Now, let’s look at our primary Bible text for this study continuing to read aloud, yes, out loud. You have been reading out loud, right?
Isaiah 5:20-23 (KJV)
20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
22 Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:
23 Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
Just a few days ago we talked about “strong drink’ quite a bit. This is obviously something that concerns our loving Heavenly Father, our Savior, and our Helper. As I pointed out at that time at best it is a bad witness and drunkenness is sin and abhorred by our God. The risks of drinking alcohol far outweigh any possible benefit I can imagine so why drink any alcohol. I say this as a physician over 40 years, and man of God. It is not an essential food group for survival. As the Apostle Paul declared all things may be legal for me but not profitable and if they cause my brother to stumble are not to be done. Consider the following verses.
1 Corinthians 10:23 (KJV)
23 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.
Romans 14:21 (KJV)
21 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.
Let’s love our neighbor!
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow. Remember we love you and there is nothing you can do about it.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as your Bible Teacher and a Prophetic Voice in your life I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, doubt it not, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
