WHAT ABOUT OUR MOUTH?

Greetings precious saints of God and welcome back to The Three Minute Word blog and our study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. This is a wonderful and illuminating Book of Holy Scripture. The featured picture today is of a beautiful fall landscape. Even in this fallen cursed state of the earth we can see much beauty for which we have God to thank. Please take a moment to share these teachings as widely as possible to expand the reach of this Ministry, the Truth. Thank you for sharing. Our purpose is to not just bring things (thoughts, words, and actions) that are true to your attention but to bring Truth front and center. I pray each day that I will think, write, and speak the Word rightly divided. Prove everything by the Word of God. The Word of God is the ONLY source of Truth. Prove all words by at least two witnesses, in context, and divided by other Truth. Be a good Berean.
Acts 17:11 (KJV)
11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Just because mamma and them, our Pastor, and everybody at our Church says something and believes a certain thing does not make it the Truth. As I was pondering before the Lord what I would write this week as a preamble or Word from the Lord, He quickened me to a passage, 2 Corinthians 5:17-21. There is much to say about this but I will not say it all today. For the sake of space and time I will only address a part of the 17th verse.
2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Like so many passages in Scripture this one is especially rich for the New Testament believer. We have discussed but not exhausted the revelation in the first phrase concerning being in Christ. Now, let’s consider the passage “he is a new creature” for a few moments. Other translations say “new creature”. Both the words ‘new’ and ‘creature’ are singular in number and feminine in gender. This designation applies to each and every one of us individually. Being feminine in gender means that each and every one of us is capable of reproducing, producing, dare I say we have an obligation to be productive. Does this sound at all like the original mandates found in Genesis 1:28, 2:5-17? Yes, it does! Now, let’s switch gears, continuing to read our Isaiah text aloud building our faith (faith in the Word, in God).
Isaiah 6:3-7 (KJV)
3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.
5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.
6 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:
7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.
This is a wonderful passage of Scripture and a glimpse into the very Throne Room of God. I am once again considering writing and publishing a book on Life in Heaven. Some of you may recall that I wrote for some 60 weeks about life in Heaven. Pray that the Lord will guide me. It is no small undertaking to write and publish a book. When we left off yesterday, I was pointing out the obvious and that is the focus on the mouth. Jesus addressed this in His earthly Ministry.
Matthew 15:15-20 (KJV)
15 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable.
16 And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding?
17 Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?
18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.
Some of us might be quick to say that we are not partakers in anything mentioned in verse nineteen above. Really? Let’s each of us examine ourselves and judge ourselves. Do we have worldly chatter and then our religious talk? Could this be what God was speaking of in the following verse.
Genesis 2:17 (KJV)
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Could this be why there is so much death in many areas of not just those in the world but in the Church? Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as your Bible Teacher and a Prophetic Voice in your life I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, doubt it not, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
