A WELL OF TRUTH
WALKING IN THE PROMISES

Greetings dear and precious saints of the Kingdom of God and welcome back to “A WELL OF TRUTH”. This new year seemingly came suddenly and now it is upon us and we are off and running. Have we examined, judged ourselves, to determine if the Lord might have us to make some adjustments in our thinking, words, and actions going into 2022? The New Year is a good time for this examination. Judging ourselves is a good daily exercise. I am not talking about self-condemnation but asking the Lord in our quiet time with Him to illuminate any lies in our lives. As we go throughout the day, we should be asking ourselves why do I believe this or that. Thinking, well that’s what the Pastor said, or Grammy said, or our Church Statement of Faith says is not good enough. Where is it in the Bible, by at least two different authors in context. For some reason we have the attitude that if we just keep doing what we are doing we will eventually get a different result. We must ask ourselves if we have faith in the person of God (three persons in one) or have we given mental assent to certain Scriptures and now repeat these Scriptures and phrases by rote as if the promise is obtained by works. Of course, there are times when we need to stay the course in faith and obtain the promise. Consider the following verse.
Hebrews 6:12 (KJV)
12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
Remember Joseph and the dreams the Lord gave him. Immediately following the promise great adversity took place yet he never abandoned the Word of the Lord received in those dreams.
Psalm 105:19 (KJV)
19 Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.
Until the Word came to pass, all he had was the Word to hang onto. However, Joseph’s relationship with the Lord was such that he did not waver and was found faithful inheriting the promise. God used Joseph to save the Hebrew (Jewish) peoples. Once we have the Promise, that is to say the Scriptures and the assurance of the Holy Spirit within we must stay focused on the Lord, the Scriptures, and the promise and nothing else, period.
Isaiah 26:3-4 (KJV)
3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
4 Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:
I for one have about worn this Scripture out (of course that is not possible). I will conclude with the following Scriptures and remarks for this week. All of the Word of God is for us know, believe, doubt not, and walk in.
Joshua 1:8-9 (KJV)
8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
To be prosperous and have good success requires real immersion in the Word of God, in the Lord Himself as a person, pushing all else out.
2 Corinthians 1:20 (KJV)
20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
If this be true, why is it so elusive for the children of God? The answer is in all I have written to this point. First we must rightly divide the Word of Truth otherwise we are acting upon a lie.
2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV)
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Everything must be established by at least two witnesses.
Matthew 18:16 (KJV)
16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. (Deuteronomy 17:6) (Bold added)
Finally, but far from least, let’s be led of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 8:14 (KJV)
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Are you, am I a son of God?
Lord willing, I will have fresh manner from the Throne of God next week.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, doubt it not, then speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
