AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH
Monday – February 14, 2022, Adar I – 13
THE LORD SHALL HAVE NO JOY
Greetings precious and redeemed by Christ, children of the Father, and taught by The Helper. Welcome back to this powerful study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. God is so good dear ones to give us His Word so that we have no excuse for walking in darkness. Before we move forward, please take a moment and share these teachings as widely as possible to expand the reach of the Truth, His Truth. The beautiful picture was taken from our back patio here in San Antonio, Texas of a wonderful morning sky. Today (18 January 2022) was much the same as the sun was rising. What beauty even in this fallen state.
Over the past months the Lord by His Holy Spirit has asked where are the Abraham’s, where are the David’s, where are the Zerubbabel’s, and where are the Micaiah’s. Today the question is, where are the Christians, which is to ask, where are those like Christ? A Christian is one who is on the path to being like Christ or has become like, just like, Christ. One might exclaim as is commonly taught, we will never attain to being just like Christ in His earthly ministry. It is not just my idea that we can be exactly like the Christ who walked the earth and is recorded in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. It also is not just my idea that we can do even greater things because of His work at Calvary, in Hell, and His Resurrection, and restoration to the Throne of Heaven as God.

12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. (Bold added)

17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. (Bold added)
The Lord is asking, where are the Christians? Many profess to be Christians (Christ like), saved perhaps, but Christians? Let us each one judge ourselves. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in the Book of Isaiah.
Isaiah 9:16-18 (KJV)
16 For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.
17 Therefore the Lord shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one is an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
18 For wickedness burneth as the fire: it shall devour the briers and thorns, and shall kindle in the thickets of the forest, and they shall mount up like the lifting up of smoke.
Last week I left off with verse sixteen and the Truth that error and the destruction that follows of both falls squarely on the shoulders of the leaders. We also reviewed the following passage pointing out that error originates with the leaders, the rulers.
Ecclesiastes 10:5-7 (KJV)
5 There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, as an error which proceedeth from the ruler:
6 Folly is set in great dignity, and the rich sit in low place.
7 I have seen servants upon horses, and princes walking as servants upon the earth.
Verse seventeen is particularly sobering. There is a point in the rebellion, the disobedience of His people that a line when mercy is no longer available. This not a joyful time for our God but I am sure a time of sorrow. There is a time when the orphan and the widow are outside of His mercy, His grace. However, let me point out that there is never a time when a true change of heart in repentance will not move the Hand of God. Even in the midst of destruction brought by our own rebellion and disobedience in the presence of true repentance the Lord can restore. When the Lord restores it is not just back to original condition but exceeds original in goodness.
Notice in this verse (seventeen) the Lord through His Prophet goes on to say everyone is a hypocrite, evildoer, and speaks foolishness (folly). A hypocrite is a pretender, perhaps sincere, believe they are righteous but are an actor on Satan’s stage walking in deception, the traditions of men, the doctrines of demons. Anything that is not of the Word of God is evil, period. Anything that is not of the Word of God is folly, period. Then comes a statement of great hope! In effect He says I am still really angry but my Hand remains extended to you.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow. Remember, we love you and there is nothing you can do about it.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, doubt it not, and speak over yourself and your family in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
