AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

THEY WOULD NOT LISTEN
Greetings precious friends and partners, children of the only Living God, and welcome back to this Bible Study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. As we move forward, please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means possible to you. Thank you so much for sharing. Those who share play a very important role in bringing this good news to a much larger audience. The purpose of the Word of God is to transform our thinking to be like our Heavenly Father and thus we become increasingly like Jesus bringing every promise of God into our lives. As we look at the Garden of Eden, we clearly see that Gods’ original intent, which is unchanging, was for over-the-top extravagance just like Heaven. It is our obligation to bring Heaven into the earth, do the works Jesus did, and to do the greater works. When I say an obligation, a better word would be to say we are commanded. Do you need some Scripture?
Deuteronomy 11:20-22 (KJV)
20 And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates:
21 That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth.
22 For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him;
Even under the Old Covenant they could have days of Heaven upon the earth if they cleaved to the Word of God. Do you think that might work for us today? Listen to the Words of Jesus.
Matthew 6:9-10 (KJV)
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Jesus commanded us to pray that the will of God as it is in Heaven be upon the earth. So, it is possible that the will of God as it is in Heaven is possible upon the earth (our part of the Kingdom) right now, not millennium and the new earth. It would be unjust and cruel for Jesus to give us this hope but it is not achievable. So, what’s the holdup? Unbelief! Flee from the poverty teachings and all aspects of the curse are our cross to bear so we will appreciate Heaven. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 28:11-15 (TLB)
11 But they won’t listen; the only language they can understand is punishment! So God will punish them by sending against them foreigners who speak strange gibberish! Only then will they listen to him!
12 They could have rest in their own land if they would obey him, if they were kind and good. He told them that, but they wouldn’t listen to him.
13 So the Lord will spell it out for them again, repeating it over and over in simple words whenever he can; yet over this simple, straightforward message they will stumble and fall and be broken, trapped and captured.
14 Therefore hear the word of the Lord, you scoffing rulers in Jerusalem:
15 You have struck a bargain with Death, you say, and sold yourselves to the devil in exchange for his protection against the Assyrians. “They can never touch us,” you say, “for we are under the care of one who will deceive and fool them.”
As you know the Lord is speaking through the Prophet Isaiah and He is speaking to Himself and to His people. It has the tone of a lamination. Perhaps you have done this as you watch your kids or others take paths that are foolish and destructive all the while rejecting your insights. We see but just tiny slices of what goes on in the earth, just think of the heartache for God seeing it all. It seems that the only thing they understand, that turns their attention back to God is being occupied by foreign nations. Many Christians walk this path in bondage, slavery, to the deceptions of the devil for they have turned from the Truth to lies. The lies seem easier on our flesh. Verse twelve of our text was the very simple answer for His people then and His people now. Are we listening to God, the Truth, or another gospel? Each of us can very quickly determine if we are believing and doing the Truth by looking at the fruit of our life.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow. Remember we love you and there is nothing you can do about it.

20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
