A WELL OF TRUTH
THE CURSE
Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to A Well of Truth and the topic of The Curse. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you to increase our reach. Thank you for sharing. It is important that all know there is a Kingdom of God which has nothing but upsides and Jesus is the way, the only way, into the Kingdom of God. He is the way from darkness and the destination of Hell into the light and the destination of Heaven. There are those who have hardened their hearts to believe there is nothing beyond this life and that when we die physically that is all but that is not all. We are all at the beginning of an eternal journey. Where will you spend eternity?
Now, let’s turn our attention to the topic of the curse. I commonly hear preachers and teachers exclaim with excitement that we who are in Christ Jesus as no longer under the curse. Is that correct, is that what the Bible teaches? The following verses are commonly the ones quoted to support the statement.
Galatians 3:13 (KJV)
13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
Romans 6:14-16 (KJV)
14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
The Apostle Paul is not telling us that we are not subject to the Law or subject to the curse. Anyone with two or three brain cells can clearly see that Christians are commonly suffering the curse in their lives. Have we suddenly been relieved of obeying the law, Gods’ Law. It’s ok now in Christ to have other gods, murder and commit adultery? Of course not, we all know that is ludicrous. Dear ones we have Grace, the Grace of God, which is the Holy Spirit to help (The Helper) us keep the law. We are told that if we keep the law of love (agape) we will automatically be keeping all the others. Of course, one must abandon the worlds view of love and adopt God view of love, His level of love (agape) which was breathed into the spirit of the first man and every man thereafter. Sadly, many Christians have no idea what agape/agapeo (love) is. I have taught on this love many many times and will no doubt teach many times more until I ascend to Heaven. In the following passage the Apostle Paul by the unction of the Holy Spirit is talking about the God kind of love (agape).
Romans 13:8-10 (KJV)
8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
Bottom line, yes, we are to obey all of Gods’ Laws and we have the Holy Spirit to teach us and help us. What about the curse. Everyone knows the curse remains in the earth and is as rampant in the Church as the world. The saint has authority over the curse and can keep all, yes, all of the curse from their lives same as the Old Testament saints. Obey God!
Deuteronomy 28:14-15 (KJV)
14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:
So, what is Galatians 3:13 talking about when it says; “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law”? Perhaps another Scripture will bring clarity.
Romans 8:2-4 (KJV)
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
So, we are talking about the law of sin and death, not all the enumerated laws but the first law, the one that brought the curse into the earth.
Genesis 2:16-17 (KJV)
16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
When Adam and Eve partook of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they sinned and they immediately died spiritually. You and I dear brothers and sisters do not die spiritually when we sin but Grace is extended and we can confess and receive forgiveness.
1 John 1:9 (KJV)
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
