FRIDAY NUGGETS
FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT – PART THIRTEEN – LOVE – PART FOUR

Greeting dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to our Friday Bible Study named Friday Nuggets. I am currently exploring the Fruit of the Spirit, and today is part thirteen and part four of the fruit, love. As I move forward, please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means at your disposal to expand, extend, our reach with this wonderful, nothing like it, news. There is no better news than that contained in the Holy Bible and demonstrated in our lives. What is the testimony of our lives, the fruit produced by our lives in Christ Jesus? I am not answering that question, it is for each of us to ponder, and answer individually. Now continuing to read out loud, let’s read our primary Bible text.
Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Once again today let’s spend some time dealing with the fruit of love. This is the God kind of love and you will recall that God is love (agapē/agapaō). If God is love and we are in His image and likeness, of like kind, then we also are love. You may be asking yourselves why so much about love (agapē/agapaō)? Remember, this is not love as the world loves, but as God loves.
1 Corinthians 13:13 (TLB)
13 There are three things that remain—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.
There are three major components to this love (agapē/agapaō) of God imparted and made an intimate part of our being. Apart from love we cannot operate in the Kingdom, in the Spirit, but remain in the flesh which is death. First on my list, Gods’ list, is obedience to Scripture. Remember this, Scripture is our teacher, our example, our guide, the source of our obligations and the delineation of our benefits. The Scripture is the text of our Blood Covenant (Contract with God) which we enter at salvation.
John 14:21 (KJV)
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
As we discussed yesterday, God has made everything available to mankind but mankind (individually) do not just automatically enter into His provision. We must believe without doubting and receive discharging our obligations first with fidelity. For example, in order to be saved we had to believe in our heart and confess with our mouths. That’s the terms for entering the Blood Contract/Covenant with our Heavenly Father.
Romans 10:9-10 (KJV)
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Next on our list is a selfless lifestyle, putting God, the Kingdom of God, and others before ourselves. Listen (you are reading out loud, right?) to Jesus talk about God and others first.
Matthew 22:36-40 (KJV)
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
In our obedience our earthly and heavenly needs/wants are attained, provided for.
Matthew 6:33 (KJV)
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
We must be dead to self for any of this Covenant to manifest in our lives. Jesus already did His part dying both spiritually and physically at Calvary, now it is our turn to die to self. We are not called to die physically for Him, we are to die to self, our flesh, and live for Him and others.
Hebrews 9:16-17 (KJV)
16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next week teaching about our Blood Covenant in Christ Jesus.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Receive the blessing in Jesus’ name!

24 GOD bless you and keep you,
25 GOD smile on you and gift you,
26 GOD look you full in the face and make you prosper.
