KINSMAN REDEEMER

Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to this wonderful study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. God is so good to keep His people fully informed if they will but look at His Book and study. As we move forward, please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you so much for sharing. You are important to us and to the Kingdom of God. The featured picture today is of the State Capitol of Louisiana. This is to remind us to pray for those in authority and obey as well as honor those in authority.
1 Timothy 2:1-3 (YLT)
1 I exhort, then, first of all, there be made supplications, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings, for all men:
2 for kings, and all who are in authority, that a quiet and peaceable life we may lead in all piety and gravity,
3 for this is right and acceptable before God our Saviour,
This brings us to the honoring and obeying those in authority. There is no “yeah but” when there is no transgression of Gods’ moral law.
Romans 13:1-2 (KJV)
1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in the Book of Isaiah continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 41:13-17 (KJV)
13 For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.
14 Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
15 Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff.
16 Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the LORD, and shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel.
17 When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.
God is talking to His people through His Prophet Isaiah. He is not talking to the devils’ people. His people have fallen to a very low estate (place). God offers to take their hand. With their hand in His there is no foe that can ever stand before them, the same is true for us. As we move forward (started last Thursday) in verse fourteen we come to something very interesting which is the word “redeemer”. This has the idea of being our next of kin (one with the closest family relationship), our kinsman redeemer. We see the type and shadow of this in the account of Ruth and Boaz.
Ruth 4:9-10 (KJV)
9 And Boaz said unto the elders, and unto all the people, Ye are witnesses this day, that I have bought all that was Elimelech’s, and all that was Chilion’s and Mahlon’s, of the hand of Naomi.
10 Moreover Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, have I purchased to be my wife, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance, that the name of the dead be not cut off from among his brethren, and from the gate of his place: ye are witnesses this day.
Just as Boaz became Ruth’s kinsman redeemer so has Christ become our kinsman redeemer. We were purchased as the bride of Christ and be presented to the Father. They, even before the Cross and Resurrection, were children of God, kin with God. They were related, we are related, we are family with the Creator of all in Christ Jesus. They were in the family on credit if I can put it that way until the Messiah would come. This is just like we read about Abraham.
Romans 4:3 (KJV)
3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Receive the blessing in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (MSG)
24 GOD bless you and keep you,
25 GOD smile on you and gift you,
26 GOD look you full in the face and make you prosper.
