THE THREE MINUTE WORD

I HAVE NOT TREATED YOU AS A SLAVE
Greetings children of the most High God and welcome back to our study of the Book of Isaiah. If you are not a child of the most High God you are a child of darkness, of Satan. I realize that is a little blunt but the cost of staying in the devils’ kingdom is way too high, it is stealing, killing, and destroying now and Hell forever after this life. Change kingdoms today! Before moving on please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you for sharing. The featured picture today is of two beautiful birds obtained from Marilyn Stevens. Thank you so much Marilyn for the beautiful pictures. Now, let’s move to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 43:22-26 (AMP)
22 Yet you have not called upon Me [much less toiled for Me], O Jacob; but you have been weary of Me, O Israel!
23 You have not brought Me your sheep and goats for burnt offerings, or honored Me with your sacrifices. I have not required you to serve with an offering or treated you as a slave by demanding tribute or wearied you with offering incense.
24 You have not bought Me sweet cane with money, or satiated Me with the fat of your sacrifices. But you have only burdened Me with your sins; you have wearied Me with your iniquities.
25 I, even I, am He Who blots out and cancels your transgressions, for My own sake, and I will not remember your sins.
26 Put Me in remembrance [remind Me of your merits]; let us plead and argue together. Set forth your case, that you may be justified (proved right).
As we move forward today, we continue to find the Lord chastising His people, His chosen people. Not only have they not been calling upon Him they have not been bringing offerings which He calls a lack of honor. Let’s take a moment and look at this idea of calling upon the Lord in verse twenty-two. The word is transliterated from Hebrew to English as q̣ārāʾ and finally the English word “called” which is a verb meaning to call, to declare, to summon, to invite, to read, to be called, to be invoked, or to be named according to The Complete Word Study Dictionary – Old Testament. So, we see this people are not calling out or talking (praying), asking Him for help, declaring His as their Lord, inviting Him into their lives, reading His Word, or invoking Him into their situations. A totally backslidden people.
He goes on to tell them that not only have they not honored Him with their offerings but they have wearied Him with their sin. Let me ask something here. Where do the offering they brought in that day or the offerings (including the tithe) we bring today go? Do they go straight to Heaven? Do they go into the Tabernacle or Temple, today the local Church, for the God ordained mission of that body? Of course, the money (offerings) stays in the earth to support the mission of the local body. What is done in the earth without money? Remember God is not a thief nor is He a counterfeiter. There is a devil incited rebellion against money, prosperity, in the Church, the people of the Church, and especially the leadership. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out why. The work of God, whether we like it or not, is severely hobbled without money.
I don’t know about you but I sure hope I am not wearing (trying, exhausting) the Lord with my iniquity. We now come to verse twenty-five a most wonderful verse. It is interesting that the number twenty-five in Scripture is the number for the forgiveness of sin. Isn’t the Bible just amazing. He blots out our sins for His own sake, He does not want to remember our sin. How many of you parents enjoy reciting or remembering the sins of your children? I hope the answer was none! Of course, the Blood of Jesus went far beyond just blotting out our sin. When our Heavenly Father sees the Blood applied to us, He removes the sin and the memory of that sin from His memory. Isn’t this wonderful!? After salvation the blotting out of our sin is not automatic, we have a vital part to play.
1 John 1:9 (KJV)
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow. Remember the Lord is so good!

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper. (Bold added)
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. (Bold added)
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
