MY BLESSING
Greetings precious saints of God, rejoice for we who are in the Kingdom of God are sealed unto the day of our full redemption! Oh, what a day dear ones! If you are reading this and not in the Kingdom of God, don’t let another second go by, cry out to the Lord Jesus the only Savior. Now, let’s focus our attention on today’s primary Bible text continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 44:1-5 (KJV)
1 Yet now hear, O Jacob my servant; and Israel, whom I have chosen:
2 Thus saith the LORD that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen.
3 For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:
4 And they shall spring up as among the grass, as willows by the water courses.
5 One shall say, I am the LORD’S; and another shall call himself by the name of Jacob; and another shall subscribe with his hand unto the LORD, and surname himself by the name of Israel.
Let’s pick up once again with verse three of our primary text and see where the Holy Spirit will take us. Did you notice that the Lord is going to pour out water (Word of God) upon the thirsty. Are you thirsty, am I? Do you suppose we must be thirsty on purpose? When we love (agapē/ agapaō) someone we want to be with them and hear all that they have to say. Are we like that with the Lord or will a little Sunday morning dab do? Do we pretty much want to stick with what we have heard before and that we like, requiring nothing of us? Are we inviting Him to flood our dry ground? Are we tired of being thirsty and dry? Did you know that you can be in Church seven days a week, listen to preaching on TV 24/7 and hear very little Word of God? We must have ears to hear. We listen to understand, guard, and do.
Deuteronomy 28:1-2 (KJV)
1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
The seed in us is the Word of God and the Holy Spirit makes it alive in us, if we have good ground. Good ground is ground that is focused on the Word, on the Kingdom of God and His way of doing things and not the things of this natural life. It is about focus dear ones. It is not that we don’t take care of and enjoy the things of life but our main focus and goals are of the Kingdom of God. This verse (Isaiah 44:3) ends with “my blessing upon thine offspring”. Is there anyone who does not want the blessing of the Lord upon their family coming after them?
