FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT – FAITH – PART THREE
Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to Friday Nuggets. Currently I am teaching on the Fruit of our spirit. Two weeks ago, I started with the fruit of faith and I will be continuing this week. However much I have to say about faith there remains truck loads more to say. I believe the Holy Spirit our Helper and Teacher will lead us into the Truth we need for this hour. Our Lord, our God is really, really good. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. If you haven’t yet ordered my latest book do so today either at Amazon.com/books and search by my full name (Dr. David R. Wood) or order from our new website (awakeariseandtriumphministries.org) and we will get an autographed copy right out to you.

BE LOVE

Think you know about “Love” Godly love? Study and implement this book guided by The Helper and see your relationship with God and others transformed.
Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud.
Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Let’s take a few moments and review the word, the idea, the critical Truth call faith. The word faith in our text is the Greek word transliterated to English as pistis according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. This word is feminine in gender meaning it will with the proper seed (Word of God) produce. This word faith (pistis) means to win over, or persuade. It is a firm persuasion, conviction, belief in the truth, veracity, reality of the Word of God according to The Complete Word Study Dictionary – New Testament. Now, back to Hebrews 11:1.
Hebrews 11:1 (KJV)
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
The word substance in Hebrews 11:1 means that which supports the thing hoped for. So, faith is the foundation upon which we have confidence, believing we have already received the thing hoped for in the spirit realm. It is vital to know that in the Kingdom of God the Bible word hope is not a maybe, maybe not situation but a certainty if we do not waver. When we believe the Word of God without wavering, being fully persuaded it will come to pass. This unwavering conviction of the performance of the Word of God is the evidence of true faith. A double minded man cannot expect anything from the Lord. Am I, are you, consistently confessing having received the thing hoped for and thanking God for it or are we all over the place with our thoughts and words? Let’s take a look at what Scripture has to say about Abraham.
Romans 4:20-22 (KJV)
20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
He didn’t start here, but he ended here. You see, he became fully persuaded, no wavering, no staggering. When did this happen for Abraham? When God changed his name from Abram meaning exalted father to Abraham meaning the father of a multitude. Abraham like God declared the hoped for thing as though it already existed and here came Isaac. As I hope you know the account of Abraham is not simply about a man and woman who were previously barren getting a son but about all of us getting a Messiah. So, we see that faith comes by hearing, hearing the Word of God.
Romans 10:17 (KJV)
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
What are we confessing?
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next Friday with another Golden Nugget.
By: Dr. David R. Wood, Author, Bible Teacher, and Prophetic Voice
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
