COMMAND YE ME – PART TWO
Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to another edition of my Bible teaching from the wonderful Book of Isaiah. The Lord is so good to give us a lamp unto our feet which is the Word of God. Please take a moment to share this Bible teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you for sharing. The featured picture today represents the seven pillars of society, in the earth and in Heaven. Oops, lost someone right there. Heaven is not a chaotic mess but very orderly and each of us will have assignments in one or more of these pillars.
Proverbs 9:1 (KJV)
1 Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:
Let’s look at the same verse in The Living Bible.
Proverbs 9:1 (TLB)
1 Wisdom has built a palace supported on seven pillars,
Let me ask a probing question. Are you, am I, in our God assigned pillars right now in the earth? The God in control group all shouted “of course I am”, the God has given us a freewill group are examining their hearts. I know that many believe that whatever is going on is somehow orchestrated by God, but is that what the Bible teaches? Did God plan the fall of man or did God have a plan to redeem man if they fell? Are we puppets on a string or are we making our own choices guided however we choose?
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in the Book of Isaiah continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 45:11-13 (KJV)
11 Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.
12 I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.
13 I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith the LORD of hosts.
Last Thursday I left off with verse eleven and gave several other verses saying basically the same thing. The Lord is saying I am the God of Israel and I am the One who brought Israel into being. Did God make the Hebrew (Jewish) people serve Him or did they choose, did they always choose right? Of course, they did not always choose right that is what much of this Bible Book is about, choosing wrong and the consequences. God does not make people choose wrong then bang them up side the head so to speak. Follow the life of the Patriarchs! It took God 25+ years to get Abram/Abraham to a place in faith which allowed Him to bring Isaac the son of promise through Abraham and Sarah. What about the Apostle Peter in the New Testament or Thomas otherwise known as doubting Thomas?
Back to our text. Then the Lord says, ask me of thing to come concerning my sons and “concerning the work of my hands command ye me”. I know that just goes crossways our religious spirits, especially the God in control people, who exclaim “you can’t boss God around!”. I’m sure you know; I did not write the Bible or setup any spiritual laws so take it up with God. God gave His authority to man in the earth. Go back and read Genesis 1:26. Seems like I need to say here that all must be taken in context and rightly divided according to all Scripture. All we ask concerning God’s sons (now you and me) and all we give commands to do must be in faith, motivated by love, and led of the Holy Spirit meaning it is the will of God at that time. Before I close for today, again, consider the following verse.
Job 22:28 (KJV)
28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.
Does God change? Does He really mean this? Remember the caveat I gave above concerning rightly dividing the Word. We are not just naming and claiming whatever we want whenever. It must be in faith, motivated of love (the power of faith), and led of the Holy Spirit (the will of God in His timing).
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
