COMMAND YE ME – PART THREE
Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to another edition of my Bible teaching from the wonderful Book of Isaiah. The Lord is so good to give us a lamp unto our feet which is the Word of God. Please take a moment to share this Bible teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you for sharing. The featured picture today is provided by Joe Getchell Jr and wonderful and faithful man of God. Thank you, Joe, for your faithfulness before the Lord and the beautiful pictures.
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in the Book of Isaiah continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 45:11-13 (KJV)
11 Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.
12 I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.
13 I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith the LORD of hosts.
Yesterday I left off during a further examination of verse eleven of our main Bible text. The Lord is saying to ask of things to come concerning His sons and to command Him (really the Holy Spirit [“my hands’]. This causes many to cringe especially if you believe God is in control and nothing happens that He has not or is not in some way orchestrating in His infinite Wisdom. That is quite a convenient thought because it removes all responsibility from us and we just need to hang on for the ride. This is not the only Scripture that tells us that we are directing the Hand of God with the words of our mouth. Again, in faith, in love, led of the Holy Spirit. Let’s listen to how Jesus told us to exercise our faith in God.
Mark 11:23 (KJV)
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
So, we’re not begging God to move the mountain, we’re not climbing the mountain, we’re not ignoring the mountain, and we’re not circumventing the mountain? We, that you and me, speak to the mountain and tell it to be removed and be cast into the sea, with no doubt in our heart, and it will happen. How does it happen? The Hand of God (or holy angels) makes it happen. We have all of the authority in the earth, God has all the Power. He tells us His will, we speak in faith, absent doubt, motivated of love, and He does it. That’s how it works folks. Consider the following verse before I finish for today.
Psalm 103:19-21 (KJV)
19 The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.
20 Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
21 Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.
The Throne of God is the seat of all authority and is located in Heaven. Jesus is seated there with the Father even in this Old Testament text. Jesus (the Word) has always existed with the Father (Jehovah) and the Holy Spirit. As I have repeatedly pointed out, there is a vast difference between having authority and having control. Any parent or supervisor of people knows this. Revelation 1:6 tells us that we are already kings and priests unto Jesus and the Father. Jesus is the head of the Church and the Father is the head of Jesus. Instructions flow from the head to the body (us, the Church) and we choose to obey or not, to speak or not. Have we taken the time to build our faith, do we really walk in love (agapē/ agapaō), have we cast out all doubt and fear in our hearts (by walking in perfected love)?
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.
On a personal note, 59 years ago today Patricia Ann Snow and I were married. She has now been in Heaven over five years. She was a wonderful wife, companion, and best friend. I was truly blessed to have Patti at my side for over 53 years, and I am now blessed again.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
