Greetings in the name of our precious Lord and Savior and welcome back to this engaging study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you so much for sharing. God is so good. The featured picture is of a beautiful fall scene. Before I move into our study for today, I believe the Lord would have me share something I received of Him. I did not hear an audible voice but this is a knowing revelation which is far and away the most common way I hear from Him. This is what I received; “It is impossible to be defeated since we are in Christ Jesus. The enemy deceives us into believing we can be or are defeated, the result is the same. We create a defeated world all the while the reality is that we are victorious in Christ Jesus.”
Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 45:17-19 (KJV)
17 But Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end.
18 For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.
19 I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.
I have by the leadership of the Holy Spirit catapulted off of verse 17 of our primary text to a discussion of Israel and the Church. The Church has not replaced Israel but rather is grafted in with them to the Olive Tree, the Root. In addition, you will recall that we are talking about our obligation to pray for, minister to of our treasure, and honor the Jewish peoples, the nation of Israel. Let’s pick up with the 11th chapter of the Book of Romans.
Romans 11:22-25 (KJV)
22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.
24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?
25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
Severity fell on Israel due to unbelief, always the case, but goodness did not fall on us because they entered into unbelief and rejected the Messiah, goodness came to us through the faith of Abram/Abraham.
Genesis 12:1-3 (KJV)
1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
In this case “families” in verse three means ethnic or racial groups. Notice that little word “all” just before it? That includes you and me dear ones. Notice that the Apostle Paul keeps telling us one way or another that the day is coming when Israel will be grafted back in. Of course, that is not going to happen without repentance and faith but those things will come. He also keeps letting us Gentiles know that we have not replaced Israel. Also, the blindness of Israel concerning the Messiah is only partially due to providing a time for the Gentiles. Blindness was a choice they made. Look again at what the Lord said through the Apostle Paul, “blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in”. Let us be thankful for Israel, for the Jewish people and bless them. Look back at Genesis 12:1-3 especially verse three. I don’t want anything to do with the Lord allowing the curse in my life because I dishonored His first Covenant peoples.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
