Wednesday – January 17, 2024, Sh’vat 7, 5784
Greetings dear ones and welcome back to this engaging study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. It is not engaging because of me but because this is the Word of God, this is life, this is our life. All else is death. Please take a moment and share this teaching and all others as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you for sharing. The Truth is desperately needed in the Church and in the world. Have you read my book “Sacred Cows Among the Ekklesia” which touches on a few of the lies sung and told regularly in Church as Truth. Remember to examine all things. Monitor with a fine-tooth Scriptural comb everything you think, say, and hear. This is life and death dear ones.
Now, let’s move into our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud, yes, out loud, you know why. Today, I will be moving further into chapter fifty of Isaiah.
Isaiah 50:1-3 (ESV)
1 Thus says the LORD: “Where is your mother’s certificate of divorce, with which I sent her away? Or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities you were sold, and for your transgressions your mother was sent away.
2 Why, when I came, was there no man; why, when I called, was there no one to answer? Is my hand shortened, that it cannot redeem? Or have I no power to deliver? Behold, by my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a desert; their fish stink for lack of water and die of thirst.
3 I clothe the heavens with blackness and make sackcloth their covering.”
As we pick up with verse two the Lord is asking, why don’t you answer me? Is it because you don’t think I can redeem you? The Lord then goes on to give a couple of examples of His power which I believe is like far less than 1% of what is available. When one considers the apocalyptic events of the end of this creation and the coming of the new Heaven and new earth.
2 Peter 3:10-13 (KJV)
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
How much power is required to do all of this?
