Greetings dear ones and welcome back to this exciting journey in the Bible Book of Isaiah. God is so good to give us the Truth, the only source of Truth (capitol T since of divine origin). Are you looking for Gods’ light on your path or are you pretty much calling the shots? Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible to expand our reach with the Truth, Gods’ Truth. It is my Truth to the extent that I receive it of Him and give unto you. The featured picture today is provided by Joe Getchell Jr. and a river at Spring flood stage. Thank you, Joe, for your wonderful pictures and being a faithful man of God. Today is the first day of the Biblical New Year (not the Civil New Year). It is the Hebrew month of Nissan, in some places referred to as the month of Abib. This month contains three of the four spring Feasts of the Lord.
Exodus 12:1-3 (KJV)
1 And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,
2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.
3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in the book of Isaiah continuing to read out loud. Yes, out loud, you know why.
Isaiah 52:7-9 (KJV)
7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!
8 Thy watchmen shall lift up the voice; with the voice together shall they sing: for they shall see eye to eye, when the LORD shall bring again Zion.
9 Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of Jerusalem: for the LORD hath comforted his people, he hath redeemed Jerusalem.
Yesterday we were talking about Jesus washing the feet of the disciples (John 13:5-8) in the upper room before going to Gethsemane just a few hours before surrendering to the Cross. This is generally taught as Jesus teaching us humility, servanthood by His example but I believe Scripture shows us lots more. Let’s return to the Tabernacle in the wilderness.
Exodus 30:17-21 (KJV)
17 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
18 Thou shalt also make a laver of brass, and his foot also of brass, to wash withal: and thou shalt put it between the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar, and thou shalt put water therein.
19 For Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet thereat:
20 When they go into the tabernacle of the congregation, they shall wash with water, that they die not; or when they come near to the altar to minister, to burn offering made by fire unto the LORD:
21 So they shall wash their hands and their feet, that they die not: and it shall be a statute for ever to them, even to him and to his seed throughout their generations.
As you can see it is paramount that we have clean hands and clean feet, not so much the physical hands and feet but the spiritual. The Word is the cleansing Water of the spirit and for the renewal of our minds in line with Jesus, the Kingdom of God. Our hands represent everything under our authority or in our power, it must be cleansed for Kingdom work. Likewise, the feet, the way we get there, we must go in faith, powered by love, and led of the Spirit of God for Kingdom work. As we finish for today let’s give thought to the following Scripture.
Ephesians 5:25-27 (KJV)
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow. Remember, the Lord is good, nothing but good, and He cannot lie.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
