Greetings dear ones and welcome back to this exciting journey in the Bible Book of Isaiah. God is so good to give us the Truth, the only source of Truth (capitol T since of divine origin). Are you looking for Gods’ light on your path or are you pretty much calling the shots? Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible to expand our reach with the Truth, Gods’ Truth. It is my Truth to the extent that I receive it of Him and give unto you. The featured picture today is of a stream in spring rushing and overflowing.
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in the book of Isaiah continuing to read out loud. Yes, out loud, you know why.
Isaiah 52:7-9 (KJV)
7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!
8 Thy watchmen shall lift up the voice; with the voice together shall they sing: for they shall see eye to eye, when the LORD shall bring again Zion.
9 Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of Jerusalem: for the LORD hath comforted his people, he hath redeemed Jerusalem.
As I finish up talking about the feet of those bringing good tidings and the washing of those feet let us consider the following.
Ephesians 5:25-27 (KJV)
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
In this passage we see an intermixing of the Apostle Paul talking about the relationship of the body of Christ to Jesus (the Christ) and the relationship between husband and wife. Remember concerning the Church Jesus is the Bridegroom and we are the bride. Just as in a Jewish marriage proposal the groom comes to the potential bride with a chalice of wine (blood of Calvary) and tells the bride that he loves her and wishes marry her, and that he gives all that he is and all that he has to her. Any of this sound familiar? The bride if she accepts takes the chalice of wine, partakes, and says I give you all that I am and all that I have. This happened to each of us upon our betrothal to Christ, the day of our Salvation. We are set apart for the Kingdom, for the King by the Word of God.
We will now switch our attention to the phrase “him that bringeth good tidings”. The Prophet Nahum spoke of this as well as Isaiah.
Nahum 1:15 (KJV)
15 Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace! O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows: for the wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.
Now let’s look at the One who brought the greatest message of good tidings of all and charged us with continuing in His place.
Luke 2:7-11 (KJV)
7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. (Bold added)
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
Oh, what a day that was! Without it where would we be? These good tidings were to bring and now have brought great joy, which is for all people. Remember, this word “joy” means a calm delight, or calmly happy. You can be calm for we are to know whose we are and who we are in Him.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow. Remember, the Lord is nothing but good, He does not send us into disaster to accomplish His purposes, He is a much bigger God than that.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
