Greetings brothers and sisters in Christ and any others seeing what this is all about. Welcome to our study of the precious Bible Book of Isaiah. The featured picture is a Church in South Carolina. The purpose of a Church picture is to remind us all of the command from our Lord to continually intercede for our brothers and sisters near and far. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in the Book of Isaiah continuing to read out loud, yes, out loud, you know why.
Isaiah 60:11-14 (NKJV)
11 Therefore your gates shall be open continually; They shall not be shut day or night, That men may bring to you the wealth of the Gentiles, And their kings in procession.
12 For the nation and kingdom which will not serve you shall perish, And those nations shall be utterly ruined.
13 “The glory of Lebanon shall come to you, The cypress, the pine, and the box tree together, To beautify the place of My sanctuary; And I will make the place of My feet glorious.
14 Also the sons of those who afflicted you Shall come bowing to you, And all those who despised you shall fall prostrate at the soles of your feet; And they shall call you The City of the LORD, Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
Do you suppose God is using this much space in His Holy Book to tell us about the exceeding wealth that is ours if we were not to be partakers? Remember, what you already know, which is, his wealth like health is not automatic. Like receiving salvation, it is by faith (being fully persuaded of the Promise) and the confession of our mouth.
At this juncture I want to point out that there is a Messianic message here as well. There is at least parallel revelation here, not just how the Church is to be for Jesus paid the price for all to be returned and more, but a looking to the Millennial Reign of Christ following His Second Coming (not the Rapture or Catching Away). Compare verse twelve of our primary text with the following verse which is talking about when Christ rules in the earth.
Zechariah 14:16-17 (KJV)
16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.
Besides the Millennial Reign we also see shadows of the great judgment when all, great and small, will bow before the King of kings, the Lord of lords.
Philippians 2:9-11 (NKJV)
9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,
11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Revelation 3:9 (NKJV)
9 Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie–indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.
Might we say today, those who say they are Christians and are not, they lie, will come and worship at the feet of Jesus. Way to late I might add, for they are headed to the Lake of Fire forever.
Matthew 7:21-23 (KJV)
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
