LIFE IN HEAVEN – PART TWO

Welcome back to this very fascinating and faith building study of “Life in Heaven” and I am laying a foundation and speaking about eternity before Genesis 1:1. I spent a great deal of time and space last Saturday speaking about the spirit realm or reality (creation) and the physical realm or reality (creation). You have heard me say many times before that there is nothing that has a physical existence that did not first have a spiritual existence and before that it was a thought then a word. When we come back to Genesis 1:1 and following, we find that God spoke things into existence. The Words of God, our words, are spiritual and even the idle words we utter, have consequences, either good or bad. Words originate from thoughts. Undisciplined thoughts, minds, lead to undisciplined speech, and a mixture of results in our lives and those around us. Our words are spirit and can carry either life or death. All things created whether in Heaven or in this physical creation were brought into being by the spoken word, preceded by thoughts. When we speak there is a physical impact however the more meaningful impact is in the spiritual or unseen realm. Let’s listen to what Jesus had to say on this subject.
John 6:63 (KJV)
63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
His Words, our words they are spirit. The physical production of sound is not profitable but the spiritual content of words makes all the difference. Jesus’ Words were always life for He only said what the Father said. However, our words can either be death or life. What are we saying, whatever it is, determines our future?
Proverbs 18:21 (KJV)
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Our words (and God’s) set physical things in motion and spiritual things in motion. You may be wondering when I will be getting back to talking about life in Heaven. The answer is that this discussion if meditated upon will assist us all in understanding Scripture and the various time frames I will be discussing over many weeks. In the natural we know that certain words cause physical things to vibrate at different frequencies (String Theory) and thereby effect matter (physical substance), our words also effect matters (relationships). We also know from scientific research that what we think upon and speak about has a profound effect on the physical brain and the spiritual mind. Thoughts start as spirit and cause physical changes good and bad in the physical brain. When we are renewing our mind (spiritual) to the Word of God and pushing out the thoughts, words, and ways of the world our mind is healthier and our physical brain and subsequently our whole body is healthier (epigenomes). These family tendencies introduced by the words of our ancestors and the curse are overcome. The following is a Scripture that helped me over the years in immeasurable ways to understand Scripture itself.
Romans 1:20 (KJV)
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
In short, if you know and understand how things work in the natural you will more readily see how things work in the spiritual reality. Never forget that this natural or physical realm is a mirror of the spiritual realm. Remember what God said to Moses about building the Tabernacle. He said to build it according to the pattern he was shown in Heaven (Exodus 25, Hebrews 8). So, I don’t lose you with this discussion remember we are talking about Heaven, the habitat of God, before Genesis 1:1. I am not aware of any Scriptural information about eternity before Genesis 1:1. However, we do know quite a lot about God and His patterns and spiritual laws (mirrored in physical laws) from the Holy Bible. Based on what we do know about God and this creation and descriptions of Heaven which are like what exists in the earth we can make some educated guesses. Understand that it is impossible to adequately describe Heaven in human languages even if you have been there and spent time there. Notice the words of the Apostle Paul on this topic.
2 Corinthians 12:2-4 (KJV)
2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.
3 And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;)
4 How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.
Let’s focus on verse four of this discussion of a man caught up to the third heaven, which is Heaven, the abode of God. Following is the fourth verse to two other translations.
2 Corinthians 12:4 (AMP)
4 Was caught up into paradise, and he heard utterances beyond the power of man to put into words, which man is not permitted to utter.
2 Corinthians 12:4 (YLT)
4 that he was caught away to the paradise, and heard unutterable sayings, that it is not possible for man to speak.
It is not that Heaven cannot be expressed, it cannot be expressed by human language. So, anything I or others present will be a crude representation which we will all see soon. The Lord showed me earlier today a connection that I think you will find fascinating and illuminating. Let’s go to the Tower of Babel.
Genesis 11:4-7 (KJV)
4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
5 And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.
6 And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.
This of course speaks to the potential in natural men (unsaved), 99% of which remains untapped. God said that because they spoke one language and could understand each other’s ideas nothing was impossible to them. Some of you that speak more than one language or have spoken with an interpreter know that expressions in one language sometimes do not have an equivalent in another language. So, when God confounded or confused their language there was a loss of communication ability that did not exist before. Adam and those following until this day could talk with perfect clarity to each other and to God. So, what did God do to remedy this problem? He gave us the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the gift of tongues a prayer language so that once again we can express the perfect will of God.
Romans 8:26-27 (KJV)
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
Tongues brought our language capacity back to the God level and now in Him nothing is impossible to us.
