ALL THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS HANG ON THE TRUTH

Welcome to Awake, Arise, and Triumph Ministries online Church and our continuing study titled “Knowledge of the Truth. I will be picking up where we left off last week but will be repeating much of the lesson on the 18th of December, the Four Facets of Truth.
As we plunge into the four aspects of Truth, you will recognize immediately that we are dealing with different aspects of God.
First, Jesus is the Truth. He said so Himself.
John 14:6 (KJV)
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Second, the Word of God is the truth.
John 17:17 (KJV)
17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
But who is The Word? Jesus is The Word (John 1:1, 14).
Third, the Holy Spirit is truth.
John 14:17 (KJV)
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
John 16:13 (KJV)
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
Fourth, love is truth. This one may be a little elusive but if you follow me, I think you will see this truth very clearly. We will start with an Old Covenant reference pointing to the fact that the law is the truth. Remember, God is love.
Psalm 119:142 (KJV)
142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.
When Jesus is asked which law is supreme to the others the following passage was His answer.
Matthew 22:36-40 (KJV)
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Please understand that these four aspects of truth do not change, and one way or another all four of these are God. God is love, the Holy Spirit is God and speaks of Jesus, Jesus is God, and the unchanging Word of God, is God, is Jesus and changes not, praise the Lord. Remember the truth is unchanging and hides or conceals nothing. Likewise, you and I are to be veritable representations of Truth. Our lives must be open and transparent before God and man. It is never permissible to tell a lie.
TAKE HOME:
- Jesus is the Truth.
- The Word of God (Jesus) is the Truth.
- The Holy Spirit, is the Spirit of Truth and 3rd person of God.
- Love is the Truth for God is love who is Truth.
Lord willing, I will resume right here tomorrow.
On a personal note, today would have been my late wife, Patti’s 80th birthday. Birthdays are meaningless now as she rejoices in Heaven enjoying the wonder of that place.
Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
