THE SECRET PLACE – THE SHADOW OF THE ALMIGHTY
PART THREE

Greetings precious children, sons, and daughter of God and welcome back to this intensive Sunday Bible Study. God is so good to give us His Word to guide our thoughts, words, and ways. Please take a moment, now, to share this teaching as widely as possible expanding the reach of this Ministry and fulfilling your part with us in disseminating the gospel. The featured picture this week, like last two weeks, is a physical representation of a person being protected.
Hopefully everyone reading this recognizes the title as coming from the 91st Psalm. Our protection starts in the spiritual realm and extends into the physical. It starts with obedience to the Word of God. Not here and there obedience but day in and day out obedience to the Word.
Deuteronomy 28:14-15 (KJV)
14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:
All the time but especially in this time of turmoil we must understand that our focus and trust is in the Most High God. We look to God for justice not the government. That is not to say we don’t have stewardship responsibilities in the natural, certainly we do, and that is part of our spiritual obedience. Looking back to our Deuteronomy 28 text above, how much of the curse do we want? Knowing these things are not enough we must have faith.
1 John 5:4 (KJV)
4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
Faith is the victory that overcomes the world, the ways of the world, the curse that is in the world, including COVID-19. The power of faith is love (agape).
Galatians 5:6 (KJV)
6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
And love (agape) of God is obedience to the Word of God. Seems like we are right back to Deuteronomy 28 (and a multitude of other places).
John 14:21 (KJV)
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
Let us read, recite, our following text in the first person until it is reality in our lives.
Psalm 91:1-8 (KJV)
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
If you are not sure what I mean by reciting in the first person, the following is an example of the first two verses.
I dwell in the secret place of the most High and I abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I say of the Lord, He is my refuge, and He is my fortress, my God, the One whom I trust. Every bit of Scripture is personal, it is for us, either to live by or learn from. Now let’s look at and recite in the first person the latter verses.
Psalm 91:9-16 (KJV)
9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
Remember, recite, and meditate the following verses!
Job 22:28 (KJV)
28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.
Joshua 1:8 (KJV)
8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Confess it, believe it, receive it, doubt not, and you shall have it.
2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
