A WELL OF TRUTH
AS I SPEAK, I CREATE

Greetings dear friends and partners of Eastern Gate Ministries International and welcome back to “A WELL OF TRUTH”. This blog is “A” well of Truth, not “THE” well of Truth. I am drawing from The Well of Truth each week to share with those who have ears to hear what the Spirit says. As we move forward, please take a moment to share this teachings as widely as possible. Thank you for sharing. You who share are a vital part of this Ministry and the Kingdom of God.
Today I’m going to teach about the spoken word. Words are not primarily for communication but to create, to bring about change. My current world, your current world is the results of our thoughts and our words in which we had faith, even those in which we did not have faith (idle words) for they allowed the enemy to have a place. We see the use of words (which are spirit) to bring about change, create, from the beginning. You and I dear ones are made in the image and likeness of God (all three persons). We are made to function just like our Father (God) just as natural children function like their parents.
For the most part, with very important but too few exceptions, the importance of our thoughts and words is not taught. As we listen to the conversations of many around us it is obvious, they do not believe that their words are having any impact. Are you listening to your thoughts and words? Do we think our words don’t matter? For that matter do we think that our thoughts don’t really matter. To believe these things is to discard huge portions of Scripture. Examples of the outcomes of people’s thoughts and words is everywhere. I will briefly present what I hope is a well-known example of this, but look, it is everywhere in Scripture and in my life and yours.
Numbers 13:27-33 (KJV)
27 And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.
28 Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.
29 The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.
30 And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
31 But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.
32 And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.
33 And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
With a couple of notable exceptions (Caleb and Joshua) the congregation turned aside from the Words of God to other words, what Scripture calls an evil report (verse 32).
Did the people in the Promised Land actually see the Israelites as insignificant grasshoppers? Listen to what Rahab said to the two spies that Joshua sent in to spy out Jericho.
Joshua 2:9 (KJV)
9 And she said unto the men, I know that the LORD hath given you the land, and that your terror is fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you.
So, what did the people say in response to the evil report and how did it impact their lives?
Numbers 14:1-3 (KJV)
1 And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night.
2 And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness!
3 And wherefore hath the LORD brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?
Numbers 14:27-29 (KJV)
27 How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me.
28 Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:
29 Your carcases shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, which have murmured against me,
How many times have we dictated our own negative futures (always false, always a demonic deception) in the ears of our Lord? You know the story, all above the age of 20 died over a 40-year span in the wilderness. Let us ask ourselves, are we in the wilderness? As I close listen to the Master.
Luke 6:45 (KJV)
45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
Whether we know it or not, whether we believe it or not, we ourselves have brought the good and the bad into our lives. Being called good or evil is dependent on our thoughts and words and does not mean one is headed to Heaven and the other Hell, these are the same man (you or me).
Lord willing, I will return with a fresh teaching next Sunday.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Receive the blessing in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (MSG)
24 GOD bless you and keep you,
25 GOD smile on you and gift you,
26 GOD look you full in the face and make you prosper.
