WHAT IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE WORD?

Greetings precious saints, it is another beautiful Monday, a time for victory and triumph in the midst of our thanksgiving! No matter our situations, how does Heaven see it? Welcome back to this wonderful and powerful Bible Study of the Book of Isaiah. I will be moving into the 14th Chapter today. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible to expand our reach with the Truth. Thank you for sharing. Those who share are an integral part of expanding the reach of this Ministry. The picture today is of a Church in California and serves as a reminder for us to pray for the Church (body of Christ) both the body of Christ at large and the local body the Lord has joined you too.
Ephesians 6:18 (KJV)
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Our intercession one for another is vital to the health of the body of Christ. This prayer one for another is vital for each of us individually and corporately. Pray in both your known tongue and an unknown (to you) tongue, if you do so, either way pray. More recently (again) the Holy Spirit has deeply impressed upon me the Truth that nothing is more important than the Word of God, than Jesus. No thing and no one are even close. Our worship of the Triune God is not just another activity or a part of our life in the earth on a par with other parts or activities. Our worship of God is to supersede by far our love (agape) of anyone, any other activity, or anything.
Matthew 22:36-40 (KJV)
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Let’s all of us let this soak in. With how much of our heart, soul, and mind are we to love God? How much of the law and prophets depend upon this Truth? The answer to both is ALL! Don’t get hung up on “I’m not under the law”. We are redeemed from the law of sin and death. God has not changed and will not ever change. What was sin from the beginning is sin now. The physical and spiritual laws from the beginning (except sin and death) are in place today. Come on Church, let’s get serious about being sons in fact not just in name of our Father! Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in Isaiah and continue reading out loud. You know why!
Isaiah 14:1-7 (KJV)
1 For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob.
2 And the people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of the LORD for servants and handmaids: and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors.
3 And it shall come to pass in the day that the LORD shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,
4 That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!
5 The LORD hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers.
6 He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth.
7 The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing.
I know this is a rather lengthy portion of Scripture but I wanted to include verse seven which I believe helps us to position (in time) when the Lord is talking about. When is the earth at rest and quiet? First, I would say that this does not seem to be talking about the new heavens and earth of Revelation twenty-one however that is a possibility based on the preceding text. The good news is this, our salvation or victory here and now does not depend on understanding this or correctly positioning it in time. I place this in the time of Jesus’ Millennial reign in this present, old earth. More tomorrow!
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Receive the blessing in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (MSG)
24 GOD bless you and keep you,
25 GOD smile on you and gift you,
26 GOD look you full in the face and make you prosper.
