A WELL OF TRUTH
DO WE BELIEVE JOHN 14:12? – PART FOUR
Greetings precious saints of the Almighty God, Partners, and friends of this Ministry and The Three Minute Word blog. Welcome back to this Sunday series titled “A Well of Truth” currently focused on John 14:12. Please take a moment and share these teachings as widely as possible to expand our reach with the Truth. Thank you for sharing. I am continuing with the teaching; “Do We Believe John 14:12?” now on Part Four. I hope that many of you know this verse without having to look it up. It is a verse I have taught on and around for years. This is not happening in the Church for the most part either corporately or individually. This must change for me, for you, and for the Church (at least the rising remnant). When a command of the Master, a command of Scripture, is not being followed we must repent, and ask why we are not in compliance. The simple answers are that we don’t believe, are ignorant, or have other gods. Let’s review our focus verse.
John 14:12 (KJV)
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
As I listen to other Christians and Christian leaders with a few exceptions I hear them talking about God moving or is about to move and they are watching for God to move. Does our focus verse or any other in Scripture say that? Our verse says that we, you and me, believers, are to do what Jesus did in His earthly ministry and greater works. Why? Because He has gone to the Father and we are here, each in our order, according to our assignments, to do the work of the Kingdom. Authority over the earth, over what happens in the earth, rests solely with each of us individually and with the Church. Whatever is going on in our individual lives and in the earth, we have allowed, period. There is no higher authority in the earth nor in our individual lives than we ourselves. I know I just went crosswise your feathers and fur but that is the way God arranged it, your controversy is with Him. This has been the case from the beginning.
Genesis 1:26 (CJB)
26 Then God said, “Let us make humankind in our image, in the likeness of ourselves; and let them rule over the fish in the sea, the birds in the air, the animals, and over all the earth, and over every crawling creature that crawls on the earth.”
This dominion or authority included the Serpent (“every crawling creature that crawls on the earth”). Since the fall of Lucifer (now Satan, the Devil, the Serpent, the Old Dragon) he and the demons who followed him are confined to the earth and the subterranean realms of the earth. But, as you know Eve submitted to the deceptions of the Serpent, then Adam to his wife concerning something contrary to the Word of God. At that moment the authority (dominion) they had in the earth was surrendered at least in part to the Serpent (Satan and his cohorts). People who would choose to submit to God, walk in Blood Covenant, could walk in a degree of authority and blessing like Abram and later the Israelites. Praise the Lord, Jesus got our authority (dominion) back but even now Satan rules the world system. The thing is this. We have authority over him and therefore that world system but we must exercise it. We have the authority and Power to take back all that has been taken by the demon’s deceptions so let’s get about it.
Let’s take a look at what else Jesus had to say about authority and capacity to do has He commanded, which is to do what He did in the earth and greater works. Last week we reviewed the following Scripture.
Luke 6:40 (KJV)
40 The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.
So, is Jesus saying that we have the capacity to be just like how He was in the earth? Absolutely! In order to operate as He operated, we would have to be as He was and do it the same way. Why don’t we believe it? What about the following passage?
Matthew 10:24-25 (KJV)
24 The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.
25 It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?
Do I, do you, believe we can be just like Jesus when He walked the earth? Who taught that we cannot be like Him? This passage is in red letters (from the Master Himself) and is a second, even third, witness to the Truth that we can and in fact are commanded to function just like Jesus functioned in His earthly Ministry.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
