A WELL OF TRUTH
HIS HIGH CALLING – PART TWO

Greetings precious children of God and welcome back to A Well of Truth. Today I will continue from last Sunday to talk about “His High Calling”. The Holy Spirit of God will bring forward what we need for today. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible to expand our reach with the Truth. Together we are doing our part to take this gospel not only locally but into all the world. Thank you for sharing. You who share are vital to the Kingdom of God and to this Ministry. Recently as I was praying, the Lord highlighted the following Scriptures in my thinking, first Philippians and then Ephesians. We will explore the phrase regarding the call of God in both passages briefly. Now, let’s continuing to read out loud.
Philippians 3:13-14 (KJV)
13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (Bold added)
Ephesians 1:18 (KJV)
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, (Bold added)
Last week we focused on the Philippians passage finding that first and foremost we are called into His righteousness which literally changes everything. We learned about attaining to the resurrection from the dead and receiving a body just like the one Jesus has today in Heaven at the right hand of the Father. As you know we are there, seated with Him (Jesus the Christ) at the right hand of the Father. We also discovered or were reminded that we have citizenship in Heaven. This is all so wonderful but we are not done.
Now let’s bring our focus into the first chapter of Ephesians. All that follows is to the following group, ask yourself if you are in this group, it is not automatic.
Ephesians 1:1 (KJV)
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus: (Bold added)
Next, we find that grace and peace are available and can flow freely to the faithful. Next, we find out we are blessed which is the empowerment to accomplish all that we are called too. Never forget, none of this is automatic no more than salvation is automatic, it is obtained and perfected by faith. We were chosen to be in Him from the foundation of the world, did we accept? We were predestined for adoption into the family of God from before time but did we accept this adoption? Notice with exuberant thanksgiving Ephesians 1:7.
Ephesians 1:7 (KJV)
7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
O, the Blood! Without the Blood of Jesus, we would have nothing but misery and damnation for eternity. In case there is someone reading this thinking we cannot know the will of God, consider the following.
Ephesians 1:9 (KJV)
9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself.
All of this is a part of His High Calling! In verse seventeen we find that wisdom and revelation of God is available to us. Wow! God does not want us in a fog about anything, period! If we are in confusion, in a fog, that is our choice not His. Verse eighteen tells us He wants us enlightened knowing “the hope of his calling”, and “the riches of the glory of his inheritance”. This is not poverty talk but overflowing abundance talk for now and for the hereafter. As we continue reading verses nineteen and twenty, we find that the Power at work on our behalf is the same power that raised Jesus from the dead and restored all things to Him. As I cap off this teaching, as wonderful as all that went before this was, we now find that all of us in the body of Christ are” Far above all”.
Ephesians 1:21-23 (KJV)
21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
Am I, are you, walking in that authority? We have a choice to dominate or fold to our enemies, the enemies of God.
Lord willing, I will have another fresh Word from the Throne next week.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Receive the blessing in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (MSG)
24 GOD bless you and keep you,
25 GOD smile on you and gift you,
26 GOD look you full in the face and make you prosper.
