THE LORD STILL WAITS

Greetings dear children of God and welcome back to our Bible Study of the Book of Isaiah. God is so wonderful, giving us His Word that we grow in faith and as we do all of the Kingdom is ours for our ministry. Our Heavenly Father has made no arrangements for poor children, He has provided for us all to be very rich in all spiritual things and we are to be very rich in all natural things. We are to be a witness to the heathen of His goodness; natural things people can see not us just getting by with a good attitude. If we don’t have money, God doesn’t have any money to work with. God is not a counterfeiter or a thief. Our ministry is in our excess. My Bible teaches prosperity from front to back, all types of prosperity, especially financial. If you are not seeing that ask the Lord to open your eyes to see and your ears to hear.
Please take a moment to share this teachings as widely as possible by every means available to you. That is very helpful to us in the dissemination of the gospel, the Truth. Thank you for sharing.
The featured picture today is of the Capitol of Florida. I have featured a government building to remind us to pray for all that are in authority.
1 Timothy 2:1-4 (TLB)
1 Here are my directions: Pray much for others; plead for God’s mercy upon them; give thanks for all he is going to do for them.
2 Pray in this way for kings and all others who are in authority over us, or are in places of high responsibility, so that we can live in peace and quietness, spending our time in godly living and thinking much about the Lord. (Bold added)
3 This is good and pleases God our Savior,
4 for he longs for all to be saved and to understand this truth:
Finally, before we dive into our Isaiah text always remember who has Covenant with God (children of the Kingdom) and who has authority in the earth with the Power of God backing up that authority. Just as God moved on behalf of His people over and over in Scripture so He will for us when we align with Him.
2 Chronicles 7:14 (TLB)
14 then if my people will humble themselves and pray, and search for me, and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear them from heaven and forgive their sins and heal their land.
At this time let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text and read it out loud.
Isaiah 30:17-20 (TLB)
17 One of them will chase a thousand of you! Five of them will scatter you until not two of you are left together. You will be like lonely trees on the distant mountaintops.
18 Yet the Lord still waits for you to come to him so he can show you his love; he will conquer you to bless you, just as he said. For the Lord is faithful to his promises. Blessed are all those who wait for him to help them.
19 O my people in Jerusalem, you shall weep no more, for he will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry. He will answer you.
20 Though he give you the bread of adversity and water of affliction, yet he will be with you to teach you—with your own eyes you will see your Teacher.
When we are in disobedience following after the lies of the kingdom of darkness, we will be irrational and in much fear. Does verse seventeen make sense to the rational person? No, it does not but we see this in Scripture. This is part and parcel of the kingdom of darkness. The demons are all about fear, chaos, confusion, and destruction. Now let’s turn our attention to verse eighteen of our text, eighteen is the number of bondage. The Lord, our God, is exceedingly patient and eager to show us His love and blessing.
Isaiah 30:18 (TLB)
18 Yet the Lord still waits for you to come to him so he can show you his love; he will conquer you to bless you, just as he said. For the Lord is faithful to his promises. Blessed are all those who wait for him to help them. (Bold added)
We are freewill creations, He does not make us come to Him, we must choose to come to Him. Let’s look at it in the KJV.
Isaiah 30:18 (KJV)
18 And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.
We must make Him Lord not just Savior and then, and only then, He will be gracious, extend mercy, and bring justice. He empowers (Blessing) those that wait for Him. That means, at least in part, that we must exercise patience in faith.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Receive the blessing in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (MSG)
24 GOD bless you and keep you,
25 GOD smile on you and gift you,
26 GOD look you full in the face and make you prosper.
