ARMOR OF GOD – PART SEVENTY-SEVEN
SWORD OF THE SPIRIT – PART TWO
Greetings dear and precious children of God the Father and welcome back to our study of “Gifts” currently dealing with the “Armor of God”. Please take a few moments to share this teaching by every means available to you playing a role in the spreading of the good news (gospel) of the Kingdom of God. Knowing there is a Kingdom of God and how to gain access is by itself extraordinarily good news. Then to know that the head of this Kingdom is nothing but good, adds to the wonder. And then to know that God, the head of this Kingdom, has provided us with everything (already – the answer is not on the way, it is here) for this natural life and godliness as well as the life to come again magnifies His goodness. God the Trinity has already done the heavy lifting. We access it all and make it manifest in our lives by faith walking in love. Where do you beat a deal like this? Let me again stir up our memories concerning the importance of knowledge of God to acquire anything in the Kingdom including entrance by reviewing the following passage from 2nd Peter.
2 Peter 1:2-4 (KJV)
2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
I don’t know about you, but I want the whole enchilada so to speak (period). I want all of God which is pleasing in His sight. I want to be just like Jesus. He said we could be and we were created to be. I have not met anyone that did not want to hear our Savior say “well done good and faithful servant”. Will all of us hear that? Now, let’s turn our attention to the armor of God passage with our focus coming to rest in verse seventeen on the phrase “the sword of the Spirit”. Read out loud and slowly.
Ephesians 6:10-18 (KJV)
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: (Bold added)
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Last week I asked the question as to if “the sword of the Spirit” was referring to the written Word of God (Logos), the spoken Anointed Word of God (Rhema), or perhaps the very person of God. The short answer is; it is all three. Of course, this brings us right back to knowledge. We must not only know the Words of God as simple information, much like another book, a novel, but as revelation of our Father, our Brother, and our Teacher/Helper. We must receive it, prove it (2-3 different witnesses), believe it, and speak it. We create as we speak just like our Father.

17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.
All things exist in the spirit realm and we call them into this realm with our Anointed faith filled Words.
2 Corinthians 4:13 (KJV)
13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next Friday. We love you and there is nothing you can do about it.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
