FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT – FAITH – PART FIVE
Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to Friday Nuggets. Currently I am teaching on the Fruit of our spirit. Four weeks ago, I started with the fruit of faith and I will be continuing this week. However much I have to say about faith there remains truck loads more to say. I believe the Holy Spirit our Helper and Teacher will lead us into the Truth we need for this hour. Our Lord, our God is really, really good. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. If you haven’t yet ordered my latest book do so today either at Amazon.com/books and search by my full name (Dr. David R. Wood) or order from our new website (awakeariseandtriumphministries.org) and we will get an autographed copy right out to you.

Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud.
Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
What a wonderful journey we have been on exploring faith. Everyone talks about faith even declare they have faith but produce no evidence, fruit, of faith. Let’s listen to the Apostle James (you are reading out loud, right?).
James 2:17-26 (KJV)
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
As we start, first I want to define the word “works” which appears several times in this text. Has to do with energy expended, this word is transliterated from Greek to English as érgou, from érgō to work, performance, the result or object of employment, making, labor, business, employment, or something to be done according to The Complete Word Study Dictionary – New Testament. It may be found in the noun or verb form. Bottom line, faith is not a statement, a feeling, or quoting Scripture along but there will be actions, or even the lack of actions. Other words for faith are trust, confidence, and reliance in. When we completely trust (have faith) we will take whatever actions are required. If I called you and said if you will meet me at xyz store I will buy you a new suit of clothes. If you know me, you know I am well able and would no doubt be there at the appointed time. No different in the Kingdom of God. We always have a part and I will touch on that more next week, however, if you look to see, you will see it is everywhere.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next Friday with more Golden Nuggets from the Throne.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
