FRIDAY NUGGETS
FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT – PEACE – MORE ABOUT REST

Greetings dear and precious saints of God and those who are not yet saints. Become a saint today if you are not, simply repeat the following verse putting it in the first person and in your own hearing.
Romans 10:9 (KJV)
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Simply say out loud: I declare Jesus as Lord of my life and I believe in my heart that God has raised Him from the dead, I receive salvation, I am saved. Welcome to the Light, the Kingdom of God. Send us your testimony. As I move forward, please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you so much for sharing.
Now, let’s move to our primary text for the study of the fruits of the spirit. Today I will be continuing our study of the fruit of peace. However much I have to say about peace there will be much left to be said. Please continue to read out loud.
Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
This week I will pick up with the fifth aspect of six aspects of the spiritual fruit of peace, a fruit of our spirit. Our peace is a duplicate albeit undeveloped of the Fathers’. From our primary text the Greek word transliterated to English as peace is eirēnē meaning (to join), prosperity, one, quietness, rest, and to be set at one again (with God) according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. Last Friday I talked about rest and will continue that discussion today as a part of peace. The concept, the reality, the Truth of rest was established from the beginning. When God finished with the creation and had made mankind there was nothing further to do. This creation was designed to supply all the needs of those living in this creation for eternity. Think of it like Heaven. Mankind was given complete dominion (authority) over the whole earth and the method and Power to cause the earth to produce forever (yes, eternally). Man was to live in the seventh day forever. The seventh day is when man lives by the words of his mouth according to the will of God and according to the seven Eden mandates.
Genesis 1:28 (KJV)
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. (Bold added)
In this verse we see four commands of the Eden Mandates.
Genesis 2:15-17 (KJV)
15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. (Bold added)
16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. (Bold added)
And, these verses give us the other three for a total of seven. This is exactly how we are to live today and not under the toil and sweat system of the world. Jesus has given us all authority, again demonic powers are under our feet, and we have the Holy Spirit (Blessing) to enforce our authority and bring all things into conformity with our words spoken in line with the will of God. Instead, many if not most continue in the earth cursed system of sweat and toil. Let’s listen to the writer of Hebrews.
Hebrews 4:1-4 (TLB)
1 Although God’s promise still stands—his promise that all may enter his place of rest—we ought to tremble with fear because some of you may be on the verge of failing to get there after all.
2 For this wonderful news—the message that God wants to save us—has been given to us just as it was to those who lived in the time of Moses. But it didn’t do them any good because they didn’t believe it. They didn’t mix it with faith.
3 For only we who believe God can enter into his place of rest. He has said, “I have sworn in my anger that those who don’t believe me will never get in,” even though he has been ready and waiting for them since the world began.
4 We know he is ready and waiting because it is written that God rested on the seventh day of creation, having finished all that he had planned to make.
Have you, have I, mixed the promises of God with faith and entered into rest or have any of us failed to mix His promises with faith?
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next week and we will move into being made one again.
