AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

FROM THE PROPHETS CHAMBER
DO ALL HIS COMMANDMENTS – PART SIX
Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to From the Prophets Chamber and the topic Do All His Commands. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you for sharing. The featured picture is of me teaching recently at Faith Chapel in Pennington Texas. Today is part six of this series which will go on for quite some time. This teaching is designed to hammer home the vital importance of obeying the commands of God and none other. The whole of Scripture speaks to this fact but somehow it does not get done. People claim to know this but their lives do not show the evidence, the fruit. God is not picking winners and losers, making some rich and others poor, some sick and others healthy and so on. We chose dear ones. What have you chosen, what have I chosen. The answer to what we have chosen is evidenced in the life we now live.
The will of God for us all to have a superabundant life now, in this life, and in the life to come. If God is in control of the details of our lives what is the Bible about, the instructions, the warnings, the outlining and examples of consequences for doing and not doing? No, all things are not working together for good in many of our lives, that is self-evident. As I was praying and studying recently the Lord illuminated these verses.
Ephesians 4:17-18 (KJV)
17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
Notice, people, Gods people, are alienated, separated from, the life of God through ignorance, blindness of their heart. Notice the phrase ‘vanity of their mind’ in verse seventeen. That word vanity means to be empty, devoid of Truth. Meditate on the eighteenth verse in the Amplified Bible.
Ephesians 4:18 (AMP)
18 Their moral understanding is darkened and their reasoning is beclouded. [They are] alienated (estranged, self-banished) from the life of God [with no share in it; this is] because of the ignorance (the want of knowledge and perception, the willful blindness) that is deep-seated in them, due to their hardness of heart [to the insensitiveness of their moral nature].
Notice the phrase “willful blindness” and “hardness of heart”. Who chose to be blind, to harden the heart, God or the one willfully blind with a hardened heart? Dear ones, this is the result of our choices, not choices God has made for us. We need to step up to the plate, actually believe and do the Word of God. I know this is a little chewy compared to the pablum we are feed all to often in our Churches, but it is the Truth. Now, let’s turn our attention back to our main text for this teaching and continue reading out loud.
Deuteronomy 28:1-4 (KJV)
1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
In the preceding teachings from this text we have learned there is no substitute for listening to the Word of God with the intent to understand and do, that we are to guard the Word of God above all else, and we are to do what the Word actually says. When we do this, Gods response is to set us high above the heathen around about us. As we listen (faith comes by hearing the Word of God) He sends opportunity to prosper in every area of this life and in the one to come. No, we are not all the same now nor will we be in the life to come. Choke and spit if you have too, but that is the Truth. As a help, where ever we see the word ‘blessed’ substitute the phrase ‘empowered to prosper, produce happiness, in total submission to God’. When we are not totally submitted to God we are submitted to the other fella. How did partaking of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil work out for Adam and Eve?

13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. (Bold added)
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
