AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

BELIEVERS MINISTRY – PART SIX
THE UPSIDE – DOWN CHURCH
Greetings dear and precious saints of God, it is 2023, and we are well into the New Year. Another Thanksgiving and Christmas is behind us, how did we spend 2022, how will we spend 2023? Do our plans for 2023 primarily concern putting the Kingdom of God and His way of doing things first? Have we talked to God about this new year? Are we going to do the same things in 2023 we did in 2022 that did not produce fruit? In order for change to occur, a change must be made. Albert Einstein said that the definition of insanity was doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. Are we willing to change or perhaps you say “I don’t know what to change”. We must study carefully, listen carefully, find the error in thought, word, and deed, discard the lie and renew our minds to the Word of God and do it. Today I am continuing to teaching about our God given but absolute authority in the earth and the Power available to the Spirit filled believer. Before moving forward please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible expanding the reach of this Ministry beyond its current bounds. Are you reading out loud? I will now continue taking us through the Scriptures to illuminate our ministry, the Ministry of the Believer. I will once again start with the following Scripture.
John 14:12 (KJV)
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Jesus is talking and He is talking to all that believe on Him. Do I, do you, believe on Him? If so, He is talking to us. Can we review in our minds the works that are recorded for us which He did or were done through Him? Let’s review two accounts and ask ourselves where we are seeing these things.
Luke 7:22 (KJV)
22 Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.
Matthew 15:30-31 (KJV)
30 And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus’ feet; and he healed them:
31 Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.
Doing the works Jesus did in His earthly Ministry is a command from the Head of the Church. Would Jesus tell us to do this if we, those who believe on Him, did not have the authority and the Power backing that authority? I hope you know the answer is a resounding NO! So, what’s the problem? Why are we not seeing the works of Jesus and the greater works (transforming and occupying enemy territory) on every side and in our own lives? Much of the answer lies in believing (having faith in) in the wrong thing, the lie, and not believing the right thing, the Truth. As you will recall in prior weeks, I have been recounting the last Words of Jesus on the Mount of Olives before He ascended to the Right Hand of the Father. By the way we (all of us) are seated there as well in Him (Ephesians 2:6) meaning we operate in all of His authority. Wow! Read the following passage very carefully and find yourself as I find myself.
Ephesians 4:10-13 (KJV)
10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
The “He” in this passage is Christ Jesus. When He ascended to the Right Hand of the Father, and us with Him, He gave His body the Five-Fold Ministry. These Five-Fold Ministers are the Apostle, the Prophet, the Evangelist, the Pastor, and the Teacher. Now, is there role to be superstars or is it something else? These are the believers in the body of Christ appointed of God to train up their fellow believers for the “work of the ministry”. This is the Believers Ministry assigned to each and every one of us. We are to mature “unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ”. The word ‘perfect’ refers to maturity, and finally we are to look just like Jesus. Sounds like Genesis 1:26 don’t you think?
