FROM THE PROPHETS CHAMBER
DO ALL HIS COMMANDMENTS – PART ELEVEN

Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to From the Prophets Chamber and the topic Do All His Commands. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you for sharing. In the featured picture I am teaching at Faith Chapel in Pennington Texas. A precious group of people. Please be sure you are reading out loud.
This teaching is designed to hammer home the vital importance of obeying the commands of God, the Words of God and no other words. We are fully empowered to keep His commandments. We have the Word of God, we have His Holy Spirit within, we have the Five-Fold Ministers, and Christian friends. The whole of Scripture speaks of the absolute necessity of walking obedient to Scripture but somehow many of us are not. We claim to know this but our lives do not show the evidence of this obedience, the fruit of obedience. These fruit are spelled out in Deuteronomy 28, the first fourteen verses.
He made us with a freewill meaning we are free to exercise our will. The whole of Scripture reflects or shouts this, Truth! What have you chosen, what have I chosen? The answer is that what we have chosen is evidenced in the life we now live. Believing the God in control lie or any other lie (there are many propagated in the Church) sincerely even passionately does not protect one from evil consequences. I encourage you to get my book “Sacred Cows Among the Ekklesia”. Now, let’s jump into our primary Bible text once again for a few moments. Be sure you are reading out loud.
Deuteronomy 28:4-7 (KJV)
4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.
6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.
Last week I left off with the fourth verse in our primary text. The blessing conveys the meaning of the empowerment to prosper in total submission to God. Synonyms for the word prosper include: to flourish, thrive, grow, succeed, do well, and make money. The antonym is to decline. In the day that this text was written the economy was highly agricultural and therefore those are the examples given but we can substitute things of our day. Listen (you are reading out loud, right?) to what the Blessing did for these two Old Testament patriarchs.
Genesis 13:2 (KJV)
2 And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.
Genesis 26:12-14 (KJV)
12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him.
13 And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:
14 For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.
Has not the Blessing of Abraham come upon us? Do we have a lesser Covenant? Did Jesus come and shed His Blood, defeat Satan in Hell and his hoards, preach to the Old Testament saints captive in the Bosom of Abraham, be Resurrected from the dead, restored as God to the Right hand of the Father, and send the Holy Spirit so we could be sick and poor? We are to be extravagantly prosperous in every area of life! Consider the following verse which we will come to in more detail soon.
Deuteronomy 28:13 (KJV)
13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:
How does a son (male/female) of God become the head and not the tail, always be above and never beneath? By doing the Word of God! First you have to know the Word of God. Many in the Church unfortunately think they know the Word of God but they do not, the fruit of their lives is prima facia evidence. Going to Heaven but not a partaker in the Blessing here being an effective witness for the Kingdom of God. To many believe the traditions of men and the doctrines of demons thinking them to be the Truth when they are not. We must prove all that we hear, be good Berean’s.
Acts 17:11 (KJV)
11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next Saturday.
By: Dr. David R. Wood, Author, Bible Teacher, and Prophetic Voice
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper. (Bold added)
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. (Bold added)
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
