FROM THE PROPHETS CHAMBER – WEEK EIGHTY-FIVE
SON – AMBASSADOR – HEIR – PART SEVEN

Greetings dear and precious sons (new creature), ambassadors, and joint-heirs and welcome back to these teachings From the Prophets Chamber. Today will be part seven in this engaging and encouraging study of at least a part of who we are in Christ. Before moving forward into the teaching please take a few minutes and share this teaching as widely as possible using every means available to you. Thank you for sharing. You have a very important role in disseminating the good news and widening the reach of this Ministry. God bless you richly. Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text reading out loud.
2 Corinthians 5:17-20 (KJV)
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
Romans 8:17 (KJV)
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
As we continue to deal with the seventeenth verse of 2nd Corinthians chapter five, I hope I have established that we are sons and that as sons we are different than the sons that preceded us, specifically Adam. We are not servants but sons. We are a new creature, a new son in Christ Jesus. The key here is “in” Christ Jesus. As a result of the work Jesus did on the Cross, in Hell, and in His Resurrection, we are free from the law of sin and death.
Romans 8:2 (KJV)
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
We are not yet free from the curse although we do have authority, dominion, over the curse. However, we are absolutely free today from the law of sin and death. When Adam sinned, he (and she) died spiritually immediately and later physically. When Jesus was made sin on the Cross for us, He first died spiritually immediately, and shortly physically. At salvation sin for us is gone, obliterated, even God does not remember it (the devils do, and other people but not God). If we sin after salvation, we have Grace and with repentance it also is wiped away forever.
1 John 1:9 (KJV)
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
When ALL unrighteousness is gone all that is left is righteousness. Once we have repented before God we will never answer for that sin before God. After all what we answer for before God in the end is all that will matter, and it matters for eternity. Isn’t our Heavenly Father just so wonderful. This is part of the “new creature” which we are, unlike Adam we do not become irrevocably separated from God if (we don’t need to) we sin following salvation. Sin following salvation is a failure of mind renewal for whatever reason.
New week I will pick up with the phrase “old things”. Just to give a brief preview, know that the word ‘thing’ can frequently be translated as word or words. So, at salvation we get a new vocabulary, new words, the Words, the thoughts, of God. Words create so a new kind of life starts to take form around us as we speak the Words of God. Our world dramatically changes and this is the most powerful testimony of all to the unsaved. If nothing changes in our lives except, we go to Church, our influence on others will be nil.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next Saturday. Remember, we love you and there is nothing you can do about it.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Receive the blessing in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (MSG)
24 GOD bless you and keep you,
25 GOD smile on you and gift you,
26 GOD look you full in the face and make you prosper.
