WORDS – PREDISPOSITIONS – DESTINY
Greetings dear and precious saints of God, the redeemed of the Lord, and welcome back to another Friday Nuggets teaching. Today I will talk briefly how our thoughts and words change what the devil had planned for us to what God has planned for us. Now, please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible augmenting our efforts to disseminate the good news. This is good news that far exceeds what one might esteem as the best news of their lives or that they can imagine. How can one hear better news than that about eternal life, not death and damnation, the equipping for victory here in every realm and an astounding future with the Lord for ever and ever? Now, let’s turn our attention to today’s teaching.
We know from Scripture that nothing has a physical existence that did not first have a spiritual existence. That spiritual existence was first in our thoughts then our words. Look back to Genesis 1:1 and following, we find the thoughts, the will of God spoken into existence. That is our example and so we are to create as we speak and do in fact create as we speak. Meditate the Words of Jesus.
Luke 6:45 (KJV)
45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
Jesus tells us that whatever we believe and keep in our hearts is what will come out of our mouths in faith and shape, create, our world.
The Words of God are primarily or most importantly spirit, and so are our words. All of our words even the idle words we utter, have consequences, either good or bad. Jesus tells us that idle words will be judged in the day of judgment.
Matthew 12:35-36 (KJV)
35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
Idle words are nonoperative words, words spoken that we don’t believe (not spoken in faith), that we have no expectation of producing a result.
Romans 14:23 (KJV)
23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin. (Bold added)
Something to seriously think about don’t you think. Words originate from thoughts. Undisciplined thoughts, minds, lead to undisciplined speech, and a mixture of results in our lives, mainly negative, and the lives of those around us. Our words are spirit and carry either life or death. All things created whether in Heaven or in this physical creation were brought into being by the spoken word, preceded by thoughts. When we speak there is a physical impact however the more meaningful impact is in the spiritual or unseen realm. Let’s listen to what Jesus had to say on this subject.
John 6:63 (KJV)
63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
His Words, our words they are spirit. The physical production of sound is not profitable but the spiritual content of words makes all the difference. Jesus’ Words were always life for He only said what the Father said. What about us? Likewise, our words produce either death or life. What are we saying, the words we use determine our future?
Proverbs 4:20-23 (NLT)
20 My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen carefully to my words.
21 Don’t lose sight of them. Let them penetrate deep into your heart,
22 for they bring life to those who find them, and healing to their whole body.
23 Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. (Emphasis added)
Proverbs 18:21 (KJV)
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Scientists have shown that different words cause physical things to vibrate at different frequencies (String Theory) and thereby effect matter (physical substance). Hopefully we all understand that our words also effect matters (relationships) between us and God, us and other people. We also know from scientific research that what we think upon and speak about brings about structural change in the brain. Thoughts start as spirit in the mind and cause physical changes good or bad in the physical brain. When we are renewing our mind (spiritual) to the Word of God and pushing out the thoughts, words, and ways of the world our mind is healthier, our spirit man is stronger, our physical brain and subsequently our whole body is healthier (epigenetics). Family tendencies, predispositions are introduced by the thoughts and words of our ancestors’ bringing blessings or the curse into our lives for as much as four generations. Our inherited genome (physical genetic makeup) predisposes us to certain physical manifestations in our bodies and ways of thinking but these predispositions need not be our destiny. The thoughts of our mind, physical brain, and the physical, spiritual words of our mouth can reinforce our predispositions or negate them altogether. Choose health and life!
