NAME IT AND CLAIM IT
TRUTH OR LIE
Greetings dear and precious saints of the only living God, the only God who is able and delighted to bring good things into our lives. Satan and his hoards are the gods of all who are unsaved and of way too many in the Church, saved, filled with the Holy Ghost and on their way to Heaven. Not demon possessed but demon controlled, manipulated, deceived, making the Kingdom of God (the Lord Himself) and His righteousness second place or worse. Satan and his hoards will dress a thing up (temptation not in line with Word of God) but it will bring nothing up stealing, killing, and destruction into our lives. Our God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) are nothing but good and the devils are nothing but bad. This is real simple dear saints of God; it is our flesh that seemingly complicates things. As I prepare to move forward to the topic the Lord has impressed upon me, please take a moment and share these teachings as widely as possible.
This morning in fellowship with the Lord this topic of “name it and claim it” came into my thinking. On a pretty regular basis I see this maligned by pew and pulpit alike. Sometimes using diminutive terms like “blab it and grab it”. These railings concerning this God concept, Bible Truth, are sometimes associated with “rich preachers”, “greedy preachers”, or “television preachers”. Being greedy (God is the judge) is a sin, but so far as I can tell God wants out rich and so far as I can tell it is not a sin to preach on TV. Now has this spiritual law, this reality been misunderstood and grossly abused? Yes, yes, and yes! Does that mean we ignore a fundamental spiritual law without which we get to consistently enjoy the curse? Of course not! Ok, let me start where God started with me this morning (September 14, 2021). The Lord asked me; who first used this idea, this law? I asked: Who Lord? Me, was the quick answer. Please do not get out the tar and feather, lanterns and pitchforks, or become apoplectic (overcome with anger, extremely indignant). You may be wondering where your answers from God are and the simple answer may be that you have not named your need or desire and claimed it (received it by faith). Let’s see how early in the Bible God gives us this precept, spiritual law.
Genesis 1:3 (KJV)
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
Wow, the Lord really waited to expose us to this Truth. Looks to me like Creator God (Elohim) in one very short verse named what He wanted, claimed it, and bang there it was. Do you suppose God did any other naming and claiming?
Genesis 1:6 (KJV)
6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
Genesis 1:9 (KJV)
9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
Boy, that was hard to find. I realize I am being a little sarcastic here but I want us to understand this is how God operates and this is how we are to operate. Let’s see about what Jesus may have said about this.
Mark 11:22-24 (KJV)
22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
What is required for “name it and claim it” to work? Faith! So according to Jesus we need faith in God. We need to say, name the issue, claim (tell the issue what to do) it, and doubt not. Jesus said it would then come to pass. Let’s look back briefly at verse twenty-two. Tied up in verse 22 is the simple statement “have faith in God” but this faith is directly tied to the will of God. In other words, we can confess faith in God for something that is not His will and that will not work (at least supernaturally) but if according to His will He will bring it to pass. What about the Ministry of Jesus?
Mark 4:39 (KJV)
39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
Did Jesus name it and claim it and get it? Perhaps more on this next week, I can see you are really excited. Lord willing, I will have another fresh Word from the Throne next week.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
