ARMOR OF GOD – PART FIFTY-TWO
TRUTH AND KNOWLEDGE
Greetings dear and precious friends and partners of Eastern Gate Ministries International, Inc. and welcome back to our intensive and empowering study of the “Whole Armor of God”. Do we want to win, win, win, and win some more, overcome, when temptations present or do, we want to allow the curse to run unhindered in our lives? I think universally people would say they want to win but the question is this. Will we do what is required of God to win? Perhaps we have figured out by now that winning or overcoming our spiritual enemies and the curse individually is not automatic. Jesus not only won for Himself on the Cross, in Hell, in the Bosom of Abraham, and in the Resurrection and Ascension but has provided for us all that is needed to overcome, to win, win, win without any loses in Him (Christ). Please take a moment to share these teachings as widely as possible to expand our reach with the Truth. Thank you for sharing. If you didn’t share, ask yourself why. Now, let’s delve into our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud. Yes, out loud, you know why.
Ephesians 6:12-14 (KJV)
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
As we study the armor (armour is old English) please try not to imagine parts of the Roman soldiers’ armaments but the body of knowledge referenced.
2 Peter 1:2-4 (KJV)
2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
What multiplies (not just adds) Grace and peace in our lives? What brings the manifestation of the Power of God into our lives for all things pertaining to this life and that to follow? How are we to attain to the glory (goodness of God) and excellence found only in God? How are we going to obtain the great and precious promises in Scripture? How are we to walk in, partake in, the divine nature we received at our resurrection (new birth)? It is the same answer to all, knowledge! Have you ever been told this? Remember what the Prophet Hosea had to say on this subject by the unction (Anointing) of the Holy Spirit?
Hosea 4:6 (KJV)
6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Of course, we are not talking about knowledge for knowledge’s sake alone. Knowledge that is not applied is useless. This knowledge must be attained by the leadership and help of the Holy Spirit. We must choose to receive, prove, believe, and resist doubting this knowledge. Knowledge alone is useless to ourselves and to the Kingdom. We must implement this knowledge (tree of good) by faith, motivated of love (agape), doubting not, as led of the Holy Spirit. This is love (agape) empowering faith which brings the manifestations of God into our lives.
It is easy to implement Truth, knowledge, with which we agree at the outset but what about the knowledge, the Truth, that goes counter to our carnal nature? We must never examine our own hearts unassisted.
Jeremiah 17:9-10 (KJV)
9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
Before I end for today let me point out that the Truth, and this knowledge (of God, His thoughts, words, ways) are one and the same. Lord willing, next week I will pick up with the armor of God focusing on a knowledge of the Truth.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
