GIFTS – PART ONE HUNDRED-THIRTEEN
ARMOR OF GOD – PART FIFTY-FIVE

Greetings dear and precious saints of God, brothers and sisters in Christ and welcome back to our Bible Study of “Gifts” currently dealing with the “Armor of God”. Can we believe it, 2022 is upon us and 2021 is in the rear-view mirror? Before we move forward, please take a moment to share these teachings as widely as possible expanding our reach with the Truth. As we prepare to overcome every obstacle of the world in Christ Jesus in 2022 lets purpose in our hearts to be good Bereans’ and to Study to rightly divide the Word of God. The Word of God is rightly divided by the Word of God. It is not rightly divided by what seems right to us, our traditions, our denominational Statement of Faith, our favorite preacher or family member. The Word, the Truth, can only be rightly divided by the unperverted, the pure Word of God.
Acts 17:11-12 (KJV)
11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
12 Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.
The persons being referred to are those in Berea. The Apostle Paul and Silas had been driven out of Thessalonica and came into Berea and started preaching the Kingdom, the gospel there.
2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV)
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Our walk before and with God is not a hobby, part-time endeavor, or something we do as we have time, something we do for show to our social group, but a 24/7 responsibility. With God it is a heart issue, the intents, motivations of our heart, not the outward manifestations.
Matthew 22:37-38 (KJV)
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
The word ‘heart’ is the Greek word transliterated to English as kardia according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. As you look at what this part of our soul does, we find it is the middle man, the decision maker. This is that part of us that decides what comes in and what goes out. As we focus upon the Kingdom, its business and His righteousness (Jesus, the Word, the Truth), He will look after us (big time).
Matthew 6:33 (KJV)
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Now, let’s take a moment and read our armor of God text from the Book of Ephesians continuing to read aloud, yes, out loud.
Ephesians 6:12-15 (KJV)
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Thirteen is the number of depravity and rebellion, it was present then and it is present now. So long as the devil is present in the earth there will be depravity and rebellion. We are much too susceptible to his wiles. Think back to Adam and Eve, think about the billions on the earth that are rejecting Jesus, think about the Church itself knee deep in sin, and just think about what it says when the devil is released at the end of the 1000 years of the reign of Christ in the earth. I want to quickly point out however that entering into his depravity and rebellion is our choice and made with our own freewill. We at some level reject the Words of God and turn aside to his words (Deuteronomy 28:14) and nothing but trouble follows. This particular text seems to say that only certain days are evil, however, Paul told us in the preceding chapter that all the days are evil.
Ephesians 5:16 (KJV)
16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next week.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as your Bible Teacher and a Prophetic Voice in your life I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, doubt it not, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
