GIFTS – PART ONE HUNDRED-TWENTY-SIX
ARMOR OF GOD – PART SIXTY-EIGHT
FEET SHOD – PART FOUR

Greetings precious saints of God and welcome back to this powerful study of “Gifts” currently dealing with “The Armor of God”. Just to be clear, the “Gifts” I am speaking of are those coming (or that came from) from God. Please take a moment before I move forward to share these teachings as widely as possible to expand our reach with the good news, the Truth. Thank you for sharing. Let’s take just a moment to review the following familiar Scripture before moving forward.
James 1:16-17 (KJV)
16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.
17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
The Apostle James warns as a lead in to verse seventeen that we must be careful not to fall into error. He goes on to say by the leadership (Anointing) that every good and every perfect gift is from our Heavenly Father. Consider this. We may (will) receive (be presented with) gifts that are not of God, our Heavenly Father but the evil ones. Our God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) are nothing but good and perfect, period. The demons (devil himself) are nothing but bad, period. This harmonizes with the Word of the Master Himself.
John 10:10 (KJV)
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Notice what Jesus said? The thief (demons working directly and through other people) come only to steal, kill, and destroy. Do not ever attribute any of this to our God saying that cancer, car accident, etc. was somehow God’s plan beyond our understanding, blasphemy! Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in the Book of Ephesians continuing to read out loud. Yes, out loud, you know why.
Ephesians 6:11-15 (KJV)
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Let’s dive right back into verse fifteen exploring at least in part the body of knowledge available to us concerning this verse. Notice in the following text from the Book of Romans the connection once again between peace and salvation just as we saw in Isaiah last week. These are inseparable from faith. All is done by faith in the Kingdom. We hear the gospel in one way or another, we develop faith, we obey the gospel, and obtain peace.
Romans 10:13-17 (KJV)
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Now, let’s focus back on our primary Bible text.
Ephesians 6:15 (KJV)
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Notice this is verse fifteen which means ‘rest’ or the provision of God. The number six (6th chapter of Ephesians) is the number of man. So, this provision is for man, mankind. Ephesians is the tenth Book of the New Testament. Ten in Biblical Numerology means responsibility. Let’s take this all together, it is our responsibility to receive and use this provision of God. It is God’s responsibility to provide this provision (peace in this case) to mankind in response. Another interesting point I would like to make before finishing with this piece of armor is that each piece is feminine in gender. This means that each piece has the potential of immeasurable productivity in the presence of the right Seed (Word of God). That would basically be reciting the definition of peace in Jesus’ name in unfeigned faith with a love motive as led of the Holy Spirit.
Finally, let’s once again look at the definition of Bible peace. The English word ‘peace’ is transliterated from the Greek as eirēnē meaning to join, prosperity, be one, quietness, rest, and being set at one again according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. At salvation we are joined with Christ (God) in purpose, we have prosperity of every kind available, we are one with Him, we have quietness or tranquility even in a storm, we have the rest of God which is all that is available to God is available to us, and we are one again spirit, soul, and body. Isn’t this just wonderful.
Lord willing, I will pick up with “taking the shield of faith” next Friday.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Receive the blessing in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (MSG)
24 GOD bless you and keep you,
25 GOD smile on you and gift you,
26 GOD look you full in the face and make you prosper.
