GIFTS – PART TWENTY-NINE
Friday – May 8, 2020, Iyar 14, 5780
Greetings dear and precious saints of the only living God. Welcome back to this Friday Bible Study series titled “Gifts”. Currently, I am talking about the first and foundational gift from God of salvation.
Romans 6:23 (KJV)
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
We are a precious and chosen people. We, the redeemed, were called out of darkness into His marvelous light. We have a new Father, a whole new way of living now and for eternity, we have a new destination, and new assignments. God is so good dear ones!
1 Peter 2:9 (KJV)
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
Oh, how our Father loves us, how Jesus loves us, and yes, how the Holy Spirit of God loves us. None of us had a clue dear ones, but God in His great love brought a great light (the Anointed Word of God, Jesus) into our lives and patiently wooed us by His Holy Spirit. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text for today and read it aloud.
Genesis 22:17-19 (KJV)
17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
19 So Abraham returned unto his young men, and they rose up and went together to Beersheba; and Abraham dwelt at Beersheba.
It is my hope that you have been following this study from the beginning because todays study or any other individual study will not be as meaningful by itself. For twenty-nine weeks including today I have been teaching about the foundation that God built in order to bring the Messiah, the Savior, the Word, Jesus into the earth. Since mankind was given authority in the earth, God had to get the permission from at least one man to bring the Messiah. God cannot and will not just do as He pleases in the earth at any old time. He must work through people, His system not mine. True love (agape) cannot exist without choices. We have to choose to receive Him, we must choose to do His Word which is our expression of love for Him. When we do, He expresses His love towards us and manifests nothing but good in our lives. When we are obedient to His Word the curses are stayed (stopped, halted) and the Blessing is loosed. So, how would the Church bring a halt to the current pestilence? How do we prevent the current or any other part of the curse from entering our individual lives? I sure hope you got this right. The right answer is to have faith in and obey God!
Back to our primary text. At this point in the life of Abraham, God has been building a relationship with Him and of course Abraham with God for perhaps as many as 58 years. I get the fifty-eight by taking the 25 years before Isaac is born and then the perhaps as many as 33 when they come to Mount Moriah. Bible Numerology is always so amazing to me. Let’s take a look at all these numbers as we move forward with our study. Twenty-five is the number for the forgiveness of sin. What just happened at Mt. Moriah sealed, guaranteed the coming of the Messiah which would occur some two thousand years later. The One who would take away the sin of the world now had a legal path into the earth. Thirty-three is the presumed age of Isaac when he came to this alter on Mt. Moriah and the age of Jesus when He went to the Cross on this same spot. Thirty-three is the number of promise. Isaac was a child of promise just as Jesus the Savior was a child of promise. Isn’t the Bible just a wonderful Book! Now, let’s consider the number fifty-eight. Eight is the number of new beginnings, and the testing and success of testing the Blood Covenant on Mount Moriah assured a new beginning for all of mankind, if they so choose. Fifty is a number for the Holy Spirit who enabled Jesus (and now us) in all He did.
Hebrews 9:14 (KJV)
14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
Fifty is also the number for jublle.
Leviticus 25:10 (KJV)
10 And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.
The obedience of Abraham and Isaac assured the coming of Messiah and the obedience of the Word, Jesus, assured our liberty, that we would be returned to our possession (the whole earth), and returned to the family of God. How wonderful!

Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
