AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

GIVE EAR UNTO THE LAW OF GOD
Greetings to the dear and precious followers of this, The Three Minute Word blog and welcome to another four days of exploring the wonderful Book of Isaiah. The featured picture today is provided by Joe Getchell Jr, a true faithful man of God. Please take a moment to share these teachings as widely as possible. God is so good to us, His chosen people, a royal priesthood, His own dear children, sons of God to give us His Word. His Word is not hidden from us but for us. There are things which are given to the family but not to those not of the family.
Mark 4:11 (KJV)
11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:
Thank you, Jesus, that you have made us family! We are Kingdom of God kids! We have the benefit of the Master Teacher. The Master Teacher is the Holy Spirit. Are we focused on Him, His voice and the Truth or preoccupied with our flesh?
John 14:26 (KJV)
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Is there anything that the Holy Spirit will not teach us? This Scripture says “he shall teach you all things”. If we are ignorant, who made the choice to be ignorant or confused? We did. Very inconvenient but this is Bible. Dear ones this is not a buffet where we get to pick and chose what we want. This is more like the mothers and fathers of a few years ago who said to clean our plate or no desert. If we don’t receive, prove, believe, and do the whole Word of God we will not have much if any fruit for the Kingdom in our lives. Neither will we reap the benefits of the Kingdom which are immense. It is the Law of Sowing and Reaping. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text to continue our exploration of the Book of Isaiah. The Holy Spirit is going to give us great revelation which when received and mixed with faith will change us to be more like Him. So, let’s read aloud, yes, out loud. Faith comes by hearing not seeing and it is impossible to please God without faith.
Isaiah 1:10-13 (KJV)
10 Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.
11 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.
12 When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?
13 Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.
Of course, the Lord wants the heathen rulers to hear His voice but He is talking first and foremost to His people, those who claim to worship Him and be His. It seems to me that there is a great confusion about where the Lord is focused. He is focused on His people not the heathen. He brings justice, and judgment for His people. His chastising the people of the world would be like going next door to another family’s home and correcting their child. There are two families in the earth, those of the Kingdom of God, and those of the kingdom of darkness. Yes, those in darkness will have a day of reckoning at the White Throne Judgment and of course in this life the fruits of their dark choices. Listen to the following passage closely all the while remembering that the Apostle Peter told us that judgment starts with the House of God 1 Peter 4:17).
Isaiah 5:20-25 (KJV)
20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
22 Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:
23 Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
24 Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
25 Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

Dear ones, we may not be calling good evil and evil good but we are allowing it. Allowing something is the same as doing the thing. We are not powerless pawns for the devil and the world to knock around until we die or Jesus comes, we are the dominators of the earth, those who own the earth. Let’s start acting like it!

20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
