MORE ABOUT RULERS
Greetings to the holy and sanctified children, and the sons of God who follow this blog. Welcome back to this exploration and uncovering (revelation) of the Book of Isaiah. What a wonderful Book, what a wonderful and powerful study of God’s Word, as pertinent for us today as it was for Gods’ people in the days of Isaiah. Please take a moment and share these teachings as widely as possible in order to expand the reach of this Ministry.
As we prepare to explore the text and Truths from the Book of Isaiah there is a vital issue, I am bringing to the fore which we must continually have in mind. God is speaking to us, to His children, not the children of this world. Of course, there are times He addresses the heathen but for the most part He is talking to His own family. The children of Israel never went into captivity due to the sins of the heathen round about them, it was their sin. In our Isaiah text God is talking to His people, today we would say the Church, the body of Anointed believers in the earth. Why don’t we seem to get this one very obvious fact? Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Isaiah text and read it aloud, yes, out loud. Faith which is the key to pleasing our Heavenly Father comes by hearing not seeing.
Isaiah 1:10-13 (KJV)
10 Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.
11 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.
12 When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?
13 Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.
Isaiah 1:10 tells us God is talking to the “rulers” and we discussed at some length that the rulers are the people of God. Consider the following passage concerning rulers (you and me).
Ecclesiastes 10:5-7 (KJV)
5 There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, as an error which proceedeth from the ruler:
6 Folly is set in great dignity, and the rich sit in low place.
7 I have seen servants upon horses, and princes walking as servants upon the earth.
The error Solomon is about to describe is set in place by the rulers. The world is given a high place like the children of Israel gave the heathen of the Promised Land and did not enter. We the rich (redeemed), are part of the richest family ever to inhabit the earth but we are taught and act like paupers. We are taught to live by the sweat of our brow, our toil. That is under the curse. Those who are to be our servants are riding horses (best houses, cars, cloths, etc.) and we the Church are walking. Again, let us consider the following passage uttered by God through the Prophet Ezra.
Ezra 7:25-26 (KJV)
25 And thou, Ezra, after the wisdom of thy God, that is in thine hand, set magistrates and judges, which may judge all the people that are beyond the river, all such as know the laws of thy God; and teach ye them that know them not.
26 And whosoever will not do the law of thy God, and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily upon him, whether it be unto death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment.
These are the criteria for our rulers whether it be in the Church or another sphere of influence. In our nation we have the freedoms and privileges of that freedom like no others have had through the millennia. Even if that were not the case, we are still the rulers and the tearing down of wickedness and establishing of righteousness is in our mouths. Are those who God has given talents, wisdom, and Anointing to govern rising up to govern. Are the people who claim to love, to serve the Lord, selecting and voting for men and women of uncompromising righteousness? What about all the other spheres of influence?

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
