AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH
Sunday – July 12, 2020, Tamuz 20, 5780
GOOD SHEPHERD – BAD SHEPHERD – PART ONE
Greetings and welcome back to the Sunday Bible Study. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible to expand the reach of this Ministry. I have been teaching about repentance and I will now switch gears just a little. However, the need for repentance in the Church grows day to day. The condition of our individual lives, our Church, the community, State, and Nation is in our hands, not the hands of the world. The sad thing is that this seems to be a complete mystery to the Church at large. However dear ones, there is a remnant rising who are and will repent, take their authority, speak the pure Word of God, and the Power of God will flow and get all the will of God done. Do you want to be in that group (the rising remnant) or stay where you are? There are those (much of the Church) who believe they are in the light and taking in light but it is darkness (traditions of men and the doctrines of demons). Sunday after Sunday the darkness is reinforced.
Matthew 6:22-23 (KJV)
22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
Indeed, how great is that darkness? I am not talking about the unsaved, I am talking about the saved, sitting up in Church, singing, speaking in tongues, and proclaiming their love for God. All the while getting bad feed (songs, teaching, and preaching). The quality of the wool of a flock of sheep is a measure of the feed and care given by the shepherd. As we each look at ourselves and the congregation in which we sit what do we see? Are the majority prosperous, healthy, and walking in peace? Or, are the majority struggling or just getting by in their finances, struggling with their health, with a life in turmoil? Are we good Berean’s testing all (Acts 17:11) that is presented to us? If we see faith, in love, led of the Holy Spirit in the congregation with the resultant prosperity, good health, and peace we will want that and pursue it. This is all determined by the quality of the feed, water, and care of the shepherd. Consider the following passage from Jeremiah.
Jeremiah 23:1-2 (KJV)
1 Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD.
2 Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD.
God is displeased with His Pastors for they have scattered the flock. The flock scattered due to poor feed. However, God is raising up a remnant who will be feed well and who will do all His will.
Jeremiah 23:3-4 (KJV)
3 And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.
4 And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the LORD.
This group is getting top of the line feed. The shepherd is responsible for this good feed, it least initially. This rising remnant is fruitful and increasing. The group on poor feed were scattered looking for decent feed. The rising remnant does not have fear they are walking in faith and love. They are not confused for they have the pure and clear Word of God. And, this group is not lacking, they are in the abundance Jesus died for and are able without help to do all His will. We are supposed to be doing the things Jesus did and the greater things.
John 14:12 (KJV)
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Is this a reality in my life, your life, the lives of the people or leadership in the congregation of our Church? We don’t believe this do we? Let’s none of us be quick to say we believe it if it is not in manifestation in our lives. We all need to repent and move forward into the things Jesus did and the greater things. This all must be led of the Spirit of God, in faith, and in (powered by) love (agape). The children of Israel did not move into the Promised Land due to unbelief. The walls and the giants were too great for them or so they thought, so they feared, and so they disobeyed. They were in fear which has torment. Fear kills faith which is an unwavering conviction concerning God’s Word, and love which is obedience to God. Was God pleased with them? Is He pleased with us? In the case of the Israelites entering the Promised Land ten of the twelve spies brought an evil report to the congregation. So, it is today with shepherds bringing an evil report (traditions of men like begging God for what He has already given, doctrines of demons like “God is in control”) which is powerless.
2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
