GOOD THINGS HAVE COME – PART ONE

Rejoice and be glad in Him for He is good! Let each of us despite our circumstances or emotions make an irrevocable decision to give Him full reign in our lives starting right now. We do this in obedience (love), in faith, expecting the expedient help of the Helper in Jesus name. Let us encourage ourselves and like David after Ziklag (1 Samuel 30) go on to overwhelming victory and recover all. Let us decide that we are committed to radiating the glory and honor which is Him and has been freely given us in Christ Jesus. Let us be that desperately needed testimony to the Church and the world concurrently. You and I brother, and sister are designed to reign in this earth and we will have no excuse before Him, at the judgment Seat of Christ. We must not fail to throw off the shackles of the devil and false teachings of the Church and walk in His fulness, in the Truth.
Now let us get back to our wonderful Bible Study from the Book of Hebrews. I will be talking about the Tabernacle Jesus entered with His very own blood but always remember this was so that God could once again have intimate communion with His creation and we would again be that “more perfect tabernacle”.
Hebrews 9:11-14 (KJV)
11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
Isn’t the Word of God so wonderful? Remember it is Him, Jesus is the Word, this Word is alive and active when we walk in love, by faith, led of the Spirit of God. Our primary text is pointing out to the Hebrews of the day and to us that Jesus, the Christ, was not always a High Priest. He is now become a High Priest over the good things that have now come and are to come. A High Priest, a priest of any level is an intercessor, a mediator, between other men and God. You have probably noticed that our text of Hebrews 9:11 says “good things to come” and I said, “He is now become a High Priest over the good things that have now come and are to come”. To further explore this let’s look at a different translation then drill down into the details which is where the Truth is hidden for us and causes our understanding, our revelation to blaze with light.
Hebrews 9:11 (AMP)
11 But [that appointed time came] when Christ (the Messiah) appeared as a High Priest of the better things that have come and are to come. [Then] through the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with [human] hands, that is, not a part of this material creation,
When we look back at our King James Version text we find the phrase “to come” which when explored in the Greek is of the ‘Aorist’ tense which is independent of time. Jesus is High Priest over all good things forever! We have already received many good things, things we could not do in a million years. The good things we have already received or have free access into are numerous and wonderful. I think, what we already possess is a much longer list than the good things to come. Sadly, in the Church we are taught that we have salvation and are on our way to Heaven but pretty much everything else is for “over there”. We just have got to hang on for dear life praying we make it.
Ladies and gentlemen, our work is not to get to Heaven, it is already our home, but to do the will of the Father. Our focus is not Heaven for that focus diverts us from our mission in the earth which is of paramount importance to our Heavenly Father. We are to exercise our God given authority in the earth dominating the curse and destroying the works of the devil. Anything less is abject failure. In addition, we are told to dress up our pathetic testimony, do some 5th Avenue advertising, and take it to the streets to bring others into the Church, to salvation. Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! Jesus had no problem drawing a crowd to hear the gospel of the Kingdom of God when the people heard of and saw the power (wonder working power).
John 7:27-31 (KJV)
27 Howbeit we know this man whence he is: but when Christ cometh, no man knoweth whence he is.
28 Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not.
29 But I know him: for I am from him, and he hath sent me.
30 Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come.
31 And many of the people believed on him, and said, When Christ cometh, will he do more miracles than these which this man hath done?
